1  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Discussion and Questions / Re: New to Needlefelting -- How should I start? on: March 20, 2012 11:46:28 AM
I am new too and for my first effort, I bought a couple of kits from Woolpets and am going to try it out with them. The penguin and the sea otter are listed as Easy, so I went with them. I will update if they were good to start with when I am done.
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: diaper bag on: September 19, 2008 08:07:02 PM
I love it! I am having to make 2 diaper bags and 2 "manly" diaper bags here soon, so it is nice to see another idea. The colors are wonderful.
3  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Warmth for Iraq on: September 17, 2008 06:31:50 AM
Thank you all for such nice comments. It also gives me piece of mind that he has something from home with him. He doesn't seem so far away.

Thanks! The fur wasn't too bad. I had a lot to vacuum up after cutting and between the fur and the velour, it got very thick when it came time to sew it all together. Other than that, it fared pretty well.

Thanks for the well wishes too. My husband says he didn't even make the bed, he just uses the blanket.

My husband was deployed, so I made him a blanket to take with him. The inner border is fun fur (teddy bear fabric) and the outer border, backing, and binding (which is the backing folded over) is all super soft velour. He loves it and reports that he uses it all the time since the AC is cold when he sleeps.

I love it!!
7  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / Re: For those who have the Craft Pad... on: May 09, 2008 07:07:55 AM
The great thing about the Craft Pad is that a lot of the patterns are a lot bigger than they are in the packs, so instead of resizing and tracing, you have it right there to iron on and start stitching away. I love it. I don't mind duplicates of any of them.
