21  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / gimme orange! gimme orange! on: July 19, 2007 12:28:11 PM
After many years of seeing mom and grandma with their crochet hooks and doilies, i decided it was my turn. BUT I AM NOT MAKING DOILIES!!!! Mom had tought me how to do a basic chain when i was 9 and i did know how to do a couple of stitches but i really didnt know how to actually do the turns  Roll Eyes nor how to follow a pattern.

My first project was a simple head band...  Huh Huh Huh totally messed it up!!! went to mom and grandma and told them my problem and finally i knew what they were talking about! My 2nd head band came out better but still with problems.

so i bought a book! and after reading the instructions and practice making a couple of things, this is what i made!!!! i am so proud!

Sorry blurry camera phone!

So it's an orange and it's little but it cracks me up and i am proud! Now on to bigger harder things!
22  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 19 ENTRIES / the 4 crafty personalities on: July 04, 2007 10:36:20 PM
i have four major crafty sides. i love them all and it is time to pay them tribute!
i've always loved the mini crowns but at the same time thought they were a little cheesy. this challenge was perfect to do this.

the crown structure is made out of wire and then the personalities emerged to the following:

my one: art {drawing, painting, etc.}

my two: scrapbooking

my three: jewelry making

my fourth and newest: sewing

the crazy: me in action

awesome challenge!

24  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Totes by a n00b! {{img heavy}} on: May 29, 2007 10:40:49 AM
I am a n00b! I havent sewn a real thing ever. at least nothing i can wear. but after reading all you talented posts i decided it was time. I love purses and my habit is getting expensive so i though i would make something basic and reversible!

My first tote...

And a mini tote i guess with a magnetic close

And the action shot!

Please let me know if there are any improvements i could do. My lines are far from straight but at least i had no tangles  Roll Eyes and my ironing is pityful!
