You just use a regular Iron, on the steam setting. You have to put something between the iron and the silk. Like a thin dishcloth or whatever.

I LOVE silk painting! I have several pieces I did in college that I could post and share with you if you like

I never did figure out how to frame or hang them to show them off though

So if anyone has any tips, please share!

6  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Hello Craftsters! on: August 02, 2007 12:19:07 PM
Hello everyone! Thanks for stopping and reading my post. I live in the Orlando Metro area and was wondering who the other craftsters are in the area?

Please introduce yourself, and tell what kinds of crafts you do and whatever other general information and interests you are willing to share.

I'll go first!!!
I am 30ish, live in Casselberry, FL. I am a single mom. I went to school for fine art but never finished. I dabble in all kinds of crafts, but my favorites are sewing (still learning), jewelry making, and painting. I am interested in starting to make ATC's also.

for more info on me personally, visit my myspace page at:

I look forward to hearing from all of you!
