1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Need urgent help: Funkifying a black strapless dress?! on: August 21, 2007 04:16:25 AM
I have a really important function to go to, only I'm broke  Sad and can't afford to buy fabric/make a dress from scratch.

Soooo... I thought about subtracting from/adding to a plain dress I have. It's a plain black strapless dress with assymetrical hem. Any ideas about what I could do to it?

I thought maybe add an underlayer of tulle, but that might be weird with the assymetrical hem. Any ideas to funky-it-up around the top? (or bottom?)

Thanks for reading Smiley
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / "Rescued" barnyard fabric top. Baaaa! on: August 21, 2007 03:42:10 AM
Hey guys!

I got this fabric (in the form of bedsheets) at the rubbish dump. I made it into this tunic-type top which I wear over a long sleeved top to work. Sorry, I can't post pics directly yet so I'm only posting two - not much to have to click on Wink

Close up of the fabric, pleats in the front etc.

The whole top (it's long and loose, designed to be worn over things) - whoops should have ironed it, eh!

Thanks for looking!
