My crocheted thing is taking longer than expected.  Hooray for experimental crochet.  If I can't make it work by Saturday morning, I'll just ship the stuff I have as-is.  Two mediums, and two smalls works, right?

I'm finding out I should have started my crochet project first.  It's the last thing I have to do, but I hadn't taken teh kitteh into account.  She really likes yarn.  I made her a frilly something to bat around, but some tentacles made of hdcs are not the same as the tantalizing (and some how delicious) yarn I'm currently working with...and don't get me started on what she does to the instructions...

Oi.

Goal for the evening: finish up my larger item while watching age-inappropriate television.  (Most notably the Teen Nick line-up: including, but not limited to iCarly and Big Time Rush.)  Hooray for being a "grown-up"!  Grin

amc- thanks for thinking my mom's awesome!  I'll let her know.  I keep telling her she's a weird mom because she doesn't ask why, I do things and she's the first to enable me.  She too is a SPN fan, who currently has my season 3 and 4 DVDs.

I have to go pick up my friend so we ca geek out over the 100th episode tonite!

Happy Crafting!

I'm so jealous that I didn't jump on this sooner!  Can't wait to see what you all make!  <3 Me some Winchesters.

Random story...went to see "Clash of the Titans" with my mom and the trailer for "The Losers" was playing and my mom leans over and says "Isn't that Poppa Winchester?"  Why yes, she IS awesome! Grin

I'm here!  Work's been a little ridiculously crazy.  My supervisor suggested incurring some overtime to get my desk in order to boost morale.  I busted out laughing.

Usually I come home and crash, but right now I'm currently in the midst of watching "NCIS" (<3 Mark Harmon!), and working on my medium?  I don't know, they're all small-ish.

Also, happy Tax Day!

This covers just the reuse part, not he actual swap part.

I have 2 pairs of ADORABLE! Chuck Taylor All-Star (normal height) Converse sneakers.  (one kelly green and the other light blue double tongue with light yellow and a bee embroidery.)

So, I used to need a lift on my shoe.  Apparently that was too high, and can do with a lift IN my shoe.  Doctor said no more floppy canvas sneakers.  Cry

I'm trying to figure out a way to deconstruct them and make them into kick-ass house slippers.  Anyone else have any ideas?  Anyone try to take apart a pair of sneakers?  Anyone in need of about an inch of solid rubber in a shoe print shape (size 9)?

Found what I needed at the store...now to make it work with what I have!

fluttermuffin is my partner and I've already told her that sewing isn't my thing. (which is bad since the things she was interested in are mostly all sewn.)  Hopefully my other ideas can make her super excited about my swapping abilities!

I can't wait for partners. It'll cheer me up after getting braces tomorrow.  Undecided

BRACES ARE AMAZING!!  A pain, and crazy expensive, but in the end, THE BEST!  Everyone complements me on my amazing smile.  I always like to thank my mom and her orthodontist for all their hard work, moral and monetary support.  My teeth were totally jacked-up. Seriously, I had braces from 4th grade until sophomore year in high school.  In pictures from 2nd grade until i got my braces I did the  Smiley smile.  No teeth shown.  After the whole braces process started --> Grin.  You can see all the crazy amounts of metal in my mouth.

I wish you lots of fast progress and success on your metal clad dental journey!
