12  SEWING IN GENERAL / Machine Embroidery: Completed Projects / Renewed with my embroidery machine (many pics) on: May 30, 2007 03:16:01 PM
It's been awhile since I used it.  And I remember I stopped because it can be very frustrating!!

But now I'm giving another go at it. So.. I pickup a few free design on the web and I'm trying some with my machine, just to try them.

I used pieces of scraps to make a sort of patch.
---here is the lot so far---

---a few details---

I don't know what to go with them, maybe I'll add them to a jeans purse or something. Or keep them for future swaps.

13  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / His name is Meatball, Raw Meatball on: May 30, 2007 07:02:09 AM
Hello, I'm please to present my latest little practice project.

Mr. Raw Meatball

I love all the amigurumi I see here on crafter and I'm practicing to make one. I don't have a lot of yarn so I practice with what I have.  For this one I was practicing making a ball with the cupcake critters pattern you can find on this link http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=46825

My problem is I like sweet and short project. The kind you can make in a few hours. Having four kids kinda limits me to that!!  Wink

Also being new to the crochet world I need to be very concentrated. I often forget the stitch I just made!!! I guest I'll get better in time. Meantime, I'm having a ball, in this case a Meatball!! Grin

15  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / New purse from old jeans ...2 legs 2 purses on: May 10, 2007 07:10:24 AM
Hello,

I haven't posted anything lately. My inspiration bulb was out!  Tongue

But I think it's on again.  Here is what I did yesterday.

My teenage son is growing like weed, and there's a 8 years difference with my second son, so hand me downs are not alway an option between those two.  Luckily mommy likes to craft!!!

The purses are made out of the legs of a pair of jeans.
This one is very simple the pocket was already on the side of the leg, I just added the strap (made out of jeans scraps) and I'm working on the fringe at the bottom.

The inside is an old t-shirt.

The second one is made out of the other leg, there was one pocket I added the small one and the one with the appliqu flower (appliqu flower made from jeans scraps) the straps are made with some thread I had.

the inside is made out of a sorta satin material I found in my scraps.

It's all very basic, this was my first attempt at making purses or I think they are called totes in English!!

Hope you like, comments are always welcome

Bonne journe to all  Wink

16  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Pokball (2nd version) on: April 25, 2007 06:58:15 AM
Hi Pokfans Wink,

I made these pokballs a few weeks ago. http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=163616.msg1659138#msg1659138

Now this is a second version of a pokball.
It's flat

Has a front pocket

An opening on top

My boys put a teddy (don't have a small enough pokmon to go in) in and throw it like a freezebee.  Sometimes the teddy comes out, sometimes he doesn't.

(Anyone has a pokmon pattern or tutorial for a small plushy?)

Thanks for looking! Smiley
17  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Gustave the sock monkey...my first. (Have question about sock monkeys) on: April 25, 2007 06:21:58 AM
Hello,

This is my first sock monkey Gustave, but he's not my last! I made him yesterday, took me just a few hours.

Detail of the poncho (It's kinda cold Montral, Qubec)

My question is: Can we make sock monkeys out of baby sock? Like a mini sock monkey, has anybody tried?

Thanks for looking at Gustave.
18  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Learning to read patterns...I'm on a roll!! Made a Tooth pocket on: April 25, 2007 06:09:31 AM
 Wink First a Foot, http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=165803.0
now a Tooth (Pocket), but this time a followed a pattern that I found on this site : http://www.angelscrochet.com/patterns/toothpocketpat.php

Mine is blue, why...because I didn't have any white, and since it's all about practising I didn't care. And I don't think my 6 year old will care that it's blue.  He hasn't started loosing his baby teeth but I'm sure it's ahh coming!

Thanks for looking at my learning process  Grin
19  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / My foot... on: April 23, 2007 06:14:15 AM
Hello everyone,

This is my first post in the crochet projects.  The thing is, I'm learning to crochet.  I'm really really really new at this.  But I wanted to share my joy  Smiley I was practicing stitches this weekend and I happen to make this little thing.

I know it's not much compare to all the marvelous things I see here. But I was so happy to make something.  I'm learning with a site I found on the web, it's called NexStitch. I'm a visual person so this site it good for me, there are videos  Grin here is the link for the free crochet videos: http://www.nexstitch.com/Tutorials.html

By the way, my little foot became my key chain.

Thank you for letting my share my joy, and happy crocheting to all  Wink
