1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Help needed on where to buy crafts supplies online on: August 08, 2007 06:48:14 AM
Hi thanks for taking a look.

I'm looking to buy bear/doll eyes for some crochet plushies I'm making for my kids.

Know of a secure on-line store who ships to Canada (Verdun/Montreal) ??

I've seen some on ebay but I'm a bit scared to buy on ebay!

Thanks again for looking.
2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Need help for a swap (special gift) - Need digitizing... on: July 19, 2007 09:33:42 AM
Hello everyone,

I need a cheap, very cheap way to digitize a band logo for a swap I'm in. It's a special gift for someone who love this particular band and cannot buy the usual t-shirt because she is a plus size.. and they don't always make +size t-shirt for promotion... And I know how that is because I'm a plus size too!

I don't know the name of the band, but she sent me the logo in jpg.

Anybody can help me? Please?  Grin

Thanks a million to all...
3  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 19 ENTRIES / Soccer Mom Tiara on: July 03, 2007 12:37:55 PM
This is my Tiara.

I was inspired by being a new Soccer Mom. My 6 year old son is crazy about sports, especially Hockey but for this summer we entered him in soccer. Also, his dad is the coach of his team.

I've never done anything like this, this is what I used :
°1 coat hanger
°Green fleece
°White Christmas ribbon (for the net)
°1 rabbit pencil topper (transform into a boy)
°1 small soccer ball
°Lots of glue  Grin

Hope you like, thanks  Wink
4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Where to put this project?! Here would be great ;) on: June 25, 2007 07:19:43 PM
You see, this is a purse...so I could put it in "Purse, bags, wallets"
But it's crochet so I put it in here... Then again, I used the yarn from an old sweater, so I could put it in "Reusing/Recycling/Recrafting"...So many places for a small project  Grin

Anyhow, I am so proud of my little purse, I love the yarn.., cotton I think, from a sweater my sister gave me but was beginning to be too small for me.  And I used one of my patches from this link http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=173428.msg1782520#msg1782520,

Not bad for a beginner..

Thanks for looking  Wink
5  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Too cute to give away!!! on: June 20, 2007 03:38:52 PM
Hello everyone,

Let me explain something...I have 3 boys (14, 6 and 4) and 1 girl who is 1½.  And the baby factory is closed  Tongue  I guess that's why I'm so attached to her cloths. I don't want to give anything away...but I do, except the pieces I really love. Like these little jeans, she was so cute in them.  But my little girl is growing!  So this is what I did with the little jeans...so she can wear them a while longer!!

Sorry if it's not a good angle, she didn't feel like a model today!

Thanks for looking.

6  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Another one for my daughter on: June 15, 2007 12:44:28 PM
Hello again,

I made this recon today, during nap time  Grin
From this:

To that:

I'm so proud of my appliqué, I know it's not much but it's the first time a really like what I did.  Appliqué can be tricky when your not experienced. Tongue

Hope you like. Thanks for looking  Grin
7  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Boys handmedowns....to girly tops on: June 15, 2007 08:20:51 AM
Hello again,

Here's my two latest recon, from my 4 years old boy's tee to my 1 year old girl tops. (The thing is my daughter has very short hair, and if she's not wearing a very girly outfit people think she's a boy Sad)

Sorry for the mess Tongue it's laundry day and I'm sewing instead  Grin

These tops were inspired by Vegbee and cheytown, I just love what they do, always super!!

Thank you for looking. And you are welcome to leave comments, it's good for my ego  Grin

8  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Vintage Craft Projects / 1975 clothes and crafts on: June 11, 2007 11:20:18 AM
Hello, I knew there was a place I could share my joy.  I found these wonderful books a few weeks ago.

They are called "de fil en aiguille" from 1975 and some are from 1979. There is everything in them. Crochet, Knitting, Macramé, Embroidery, sewing. From clothing to toys. Here are two example:

This is macramé...nice

And this is crochet...very nice

I really like the crochet capes but I'm a beginner crocheter and that is a big project...maybe someday I'll get the nerves to go it...but there is a problem..although I'm a french speaking Canadian I learned to crochet with the internet in English terms...so even for me the pattern is hard to follow. I thing I'll have to translate it before!! Shocked

Anyhow, I'm really happy I found these books, and for .99$ each.

Thanks for looking  Grin
9  SEWING IN GENERAL / Machine Embroidery: Completed Projects / Pillow face on: June 01, 2007 10:20:43 AM
Hello everybody (I feel like Dr. Nick Riviera from the Simpson when I write that! Grin)

I didn't know where to put this. I'm just checking to see if the embroidery design works on my machine..it does! Now I made a small pillow with it, but I will make the true thing...eventually!

Thank you for looking  Grin
EDITED..
I'd like to mention that I used scraps to fill her up.  All those unusable scraps (I hate to throw scraps, even the smallest of scraps) cut to little pieces. And I was surprise because it's quite fluffy
