11  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: A drawing of mine on: July 23, 2004 09:05:04 PM
Shocked The most impressive thing about this drawing is the teeth. I hate drawing teeth! They always come out looking really really cheesy. Good job, keep drawing!

I think it looks great. You're too cool for school.  Tongue And mom is mom...
faboo use of composition and I like your use of text.  I find that it is very hard to use text well in paintings but you did a good job. your colors are dark and tragic (like the story). i like that the red on the happy face is transparent. is this oil or acrylic or something else?

i think you are disturbed for creating a teeny noose hanging from a fan for my teeny beanie baby lamb... Kiss

Twanks, Nina! I forgot all about that lamb.....oh well. I used a acrylic and gloss medium. Why don't you post some of your work? AND PUT UP A PICTURE!

P.S. In case everyone was wondering.... we are sisters.

20  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Bottlecap Brooches - TUTORIAL & my first post! on: July 11, 2004 08:04:49 PM
Love the brooches. Thanks for sharing the instructions!

I did notice however that some of the images you used were taken from a particular artist (still alive). I realize you reclaimed them from magazines & such but I don't think that justifies it. I'm an illustrator so I guess I'm a bit sensitive in this regard.

Just wondering how you all felt about it.

Well I don't know what other people are planning on doing with theirs. Right now mine are sitting in a box and I don't plan on selling or even wearing them. I just wanted to try out the craft.
