1  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Re: sexy belle costume! on: April 16, 2007 12:28:42 PM
What a fun idea! It's a really cute spin on Belle, and wearable on its own as well! Too bad I'm Asian, because Mulan (I'm thinking Disney here) isn't very sexy as she dresses like a man (hey, she was fighting a war), and Jasmine is too sexy because then I'd have to bare my midriff, and I'm not sure everybody is prepared for that.

Anyway, adorable adorable, great job!

.. Were the gloves difficult to make?

Wink Well, she has some nice dresses as well in the movie!

The skirts are cool and you have a perfect figure!  Wink

That looks so perfectly made!

I always wanted to sew me a cape from thick cotton-velvet, but the high price always kept me from doing it!  Undecided

Will you be using PVC more now that you know how it handles; that skirt is really great!!!

Im not sure yet...
I still have quite a lot fabric left, but I just dont know what to do with it...  Huh

 Cheesy Thank you everybody!

Ive found it just in a normal fabric department. There was only the black one though and Ive never found one again... Sad
On this PVC theres fabric on the backside, I dont know if its always like that.
What I found annyoing while sewing is that you cant use needles to stick the parts together. It would be seen on the material.
Thats why I used tape to stick the parts together. It left some sticky residue on the skirt though. Yeah and it was terrible sticky on the needle. I had to clean my needles after ever line or so...
I think the most complicated thing is that you cant open the sewing and try again when its not fitting perfect. Every hole is visible. Other than that I think it was good to sew.

I cant wear knitted hats though, those for cold winter... looks stupid on me!

I love this...it's so awesome! You've given me the idea to make one with Boba Fett (he's my second love!). And my husband would also be totally jealous  Grin

<3 Boba! Love of my life!  Cheesy Wink

I should really make one for myself with Boba, havent even thought about that yet... Roll Eyes Cheesy

The original skirt is black suede:

I just measured the skirt and made a similar one in PVC with leopard trim:

After watching "Strike" once to often I decided that I need a cap thats similar to the ones the girls in the movie wear.
And after some trying it was done after about 2 hours. Cheesy
