Alllllriiiiiiiight! I'm finally feeling better!  I'm so excited.  I have one thing that should be pretty easy to make.  The other will stretch my abilities, but I'm looking forward to the challenge!  Cool!

34  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Re: Amazingly beautiful table cloth - charity shop find!!!! on: April 04, 2012 10:21:42 PM
I have some linens that are similar, that my grandmother imported from China in the 50s/60s.  As nice as those are, they could also be from a different time or place...??

I think they are beautiful, and anyone who has ever done cross-stitch or embroidery would know the time and effort that went into those pieces.

I think your friend is very lucky to get those pieces at such a great price!

Even though this thread started on a bad note, I am THRILLED to join in!  The Muppet Show makes me laugh all the time.  One time, as I was watching it in high school, I was laughing so much, my mom asked me if I was high.  I wasn't, but I was giggling that uncontrollably!

That is beautiful! When I made mine I only used yarn with a macrame knot.  Yours is far suprerior! Awesome job!  Don't they also help the cord from getting knotted up?!!!  Smiley

Was inspired by this and made one for my boyfriend yesterday! Added some pipe cleaner to the "stems".

Those came out beautifully! Like the green stem additions!

Love the Stargate theme! I just named my Guinea Pig "Daniel Jackson." (We're so cool!)
