kittykill, if I can figure out how to load the pic then no problema, but I thought I saw somewhere that one needed to have a website in order to load pics to this site. As I said...I'm becoming more of a Luddite everyday.

Cool. I thought about, and still may, bead some of Max's pillow. My only concern is he might pick at it. Such a naughty monkey!

Oh, but it's loverly. Such pretty birdies (which do look like they took some elbow grease, but well worth the effort)!

Good, thank you also for your input. It's been quite awhile since I've stitched anything that needed to be washed (potentially).

It's good to see that this art/craft is still going strong! My son would like a kit to try his hand at it.

Very cute. Love the drinks spilling off the tray. Reminds me of my waitressing days!

Thanks, joolz for the info re: the DMC.

I've gone ahead and started chain stitching the Sublime carrot and the leaf from the Monkey Love pkg. My son wants it to be done *now*!

Hello All,

I'm not new to stitching by any means having done it when I was a 20-something. Now that I'm a 40-something I've totally forgotten whether or not I prepped the stronger colors (reds, etc.) before washing the finished product. I seem to recall something about vinegar to set the color, but my mind....or is it my waist? Any suggestions?

Anyhoo, I have 4 of the patterns on the 14" pillow case for my 6 year old son, Max. And am very excited about getting going on it.

I fear I'm somewhat of a Luddite when it comes to boards and posting/replying so bear with me while I learn!
