1  COOKING / Dessert / Another cake!! Birthday Cake with Fresh Strawberries on: March 25, 2007 09:07:05 AM
Ok, so I have been on this site 2 days now; I am having so much looking at everyones great ideas and things! It has got me looking through my pictures saved in the computer! Here is one I found from my daughter Katies birthday, 3 years ago? Just a plainly decorated cake with fresh strawberries...it was delicious!! I have so many other photos of cakes that I have done, but they are actual photos, not saved into my computer; I guess I need to scan them!! Anyway, Thanks for looking; I am having lots of fun with this!!!
2  COOKING / Dessert / Baseball theme cake on: March 24, 2007 11:45:11 PM
Here is a cake I did recently for a neighbors' birthday...the half baseball I made out of cake (used part of that cake pan that you use to make the cakes w/ fillings)...it is decorated all with buttercream frosting. Hope you like it!
3  COOKING / Dessert / Record Player cake on: March 24, 2007 10:52:47 PM
I am fairly new to this site, but I have been seeing so many darling things! My love is cakes...though I am not very good, I still try to get creative and enjoy it! This is one I made for my sister in laws B-day a few years ago; she suggested I share it with you!

4  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Cheeseburger Rice on: March 24, 2007 08:21:07 PM
This is a recipe that sounds kinda odd, but is very good and easy!! (and you only need one skillet!!) I start out with 1 lb. ground beef, and about 1/2 onion, chopped in about a 12" skillet. Cook meat throughly. Then I add 1 3/4 c. water, 2/3 c. ketchup, and about 1- 1 1/2 tbsp. mustard( I usually don't measure it, just give it a good squirt in the skillet!), and stir. Heat until boiling. Turn heat off and add 2 c. instant white rice, and sprinkle with about 3-4 oz. shredded cheddar cheese(I also like the cheese blends-fiesta blend or cheddar and jack/ also this is approx. measurement; you can use more or less. Put the lid on, and wait about 5-6 min. and there you have it!! It can feed about 5-6 depending on portion size. Also if you have a simple side, like bread or salad...makes it a complete meal!
5  COOKING / Dessert / Ducky cake!!! on: March 24, 2007 08:49:45 AM
This is my first post! Hello everyone! This is a cake I did a couple years back...pretty much everything is cake or icing, except for the rubber duckys!!! And the splash in the water is actually pieces of foil covered in icing! The "rocks" and chopped nuts.
