1  Re: Yarnies Scavenger Hunt Round 7 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by alterknitive on: October 30, 2013 03:20:47 AM
Hi All!  As promised, here are the wonderful things Kayrun sent in my swap package!

Something Local:  a zip pouch and a reusable shopping bag from her LYS.

Something Green:  Dollar bill origami (a heart and a ring) - brilliant!  Plus green (and other) tea, which I will certainly enjoy!

Something Hard:  A lovely cabled washcloth - Kayrun knows I don't do cables!

Something Recycled:  Some lovely, pretty envelopes made from doilies and notecards.

Something Funny:  A knitted broomstick bookmark which I love!

Something beginning with M:  A cute minion toy (love despicable me), and some beautiful yarns from malabrigo (or as I pronounce it in my head malabriggio).

Something dotted:  Some lovely Laurel Burch cats fabric, which I absolutely love, and a plastic grocery bag holder/dispenser, which is great, and I'll get a lot of use out of!

And last, but by no means least, Sender's Choice:  Some beautiful blue and beautifully soft fingerless mitts.  The are a little big for me, but they fit my partner, Stewart, perfectly, so it saves me having to knit him a pair of mitts!  Also, he loves them!

Also, some Mexican hot chocolate, a lovely crochet hook and some lovely purple yarn.

Thanks so much Karen, I absolutely love everything!

I found my camera (YAY!), which means I can show you all the swap package I received from rscowtown.  You sent me so many lovely things, Laurel.  There was a knitting needle case, a crochet hook case, two packs of beads, daisy looms, some crocheted face scrubbies, and a whole lotta koolaid (not pictured).  Thanks so much, I loved everything.

Having found my camera, I can now post pictures of the lovely pouches that Shamie1999 made for me (to keep the stepkids from losing them).  Thanks so much!

5  Re: Ribbed Lace Bolero *with pattern!* in Knitting: Completed Projects by alterknitive on: October 19, 2007 01:32:16 PM
Woohoo.  I knitted this - the first wearable thing I've made!  I am very proud!  I made in chunky pure new wool and adjusted the gauge accordingly (and did the math as well!).

Sorry my pic isn't very good.  Not very good light in here.

6  Two Pairs of Button Earrings I made (please comment) in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by alterknitive on: August 13, 2007 07:25:14 AM
I am really proud of my latest creations, even though it was just a case of ripping off the raised button holes from the backs of the buttons and gluing earring posts to the back with epoxy resin. They were buttons I bought on ebay.

What do you think?

7  Re: come one! come all! post pics of your tattoos! in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by alterknitive on: April 08, 2007 11:15:19 AM
I haven't read all 415 pages of this thread, but have had a peek at all of your lovely tattoos.  Thought I'd add mine.  It's my low back tattoo (it hurt like hell), and I'm very proud of it.
