I got a last minute invitation to my friend's impromptu baby shower this weekend, and here's part of the gift I got her.

I used the skull and banner (maybe from tattoo your towels? I forget) and put his name Xander inside, and also a bird from Kurt Halsey. I find that embroidering on felt and then stitching the felt to the baby shirt works WAY easier..

I somehow got myself into making 8 shirts for the release party..AH!





A friend wanted 'Auror Tonks' and "her dog patronus thing" on a shirt, and this is what I came up with: (dont make fun of my pathetic photoshop skills hehe)

Her younger daughters (age 10 and 12 and have read the BOOKS! how awesome!) wanted Snufles and Hermione.

Another friend is in hre 40s and wanted Trelawny, and her daughter wanted Luna

And then my silly boyfriend who's never read a lick of Harry potter but is going with me to the release party got jealous and wanted a shirt so here it is:







Not pictured are the shirts I made for my BFF and I.. we're going as Weasely's wizard wheezes shop employees, and I'll post pictures of those after the party so you cna see us dressed up

My best friend and I made these as part of the many things we made for the release party TOMORROW! Its little glas vials with colored water, I mean, Potions, (duh) inside. I used industrial glue on the corks to make sure they don't come out.

Also, the last pic is me and her holding a BOX of Deathly Hallows! She works at a store that's selling a few copies, and we snuck in several 'feels' of the box holding the books.. lame I know =)

Yay! Krista sent me an AMAZING TIN! She chose my cooking/pink themes

It came in a little oven mit =)




Everything layed out: little pot magnets..er cooking pots!, and a beautiful bracelet with a polymer clay bead, and some stickers, and cute little fruit thumbtacks. It also has a TON of recipies to try!!




And my favorite part (besides it being pink) is that she put little magnets on the bottom of the tin so now it can stick to my fridge with the recipies ready to be put to use!

The most beautiful bracelet ever!! Its pink,my favorite color!



A picture frame with my favorite Bible verse on it, and shells which is perfect since I live next to the beach. i put a photo of my kiddo in it =)



A beautiful bookmark (which is way betterthan the receipt I'm currently using as a bookmark, lol) and some fabric covered button hair ties (perfect!) and a cross keyring clip




And the most beautiful embroidered apron, my daughter is modeling it although she's a little small, lol. Its so beautiful in person and I really love it.

I made this as part of my mom's Mothers Day gift, she LOVES Sudoku. I took an Altoid's tin, lined the inside with felt (pink of course). Then I printed out tons of Soduku games and xerox'd them at work to a smaller size so they'd fit. Then I made two little marble magnets with scrapbook paper, and as you can see, the game you're playing can be stuck to the back.

Its great for when shes stuck at one of my sister's dirtbike races.. she LOVED it!

Okay, so I'm sitting at work (hardly working, lol) and I have this cool patch that they were giving away from a surplus of my company logo.. Anyhow, I took one cause its FREE and my first thought was to make a bag/clutch/wallet out of it.. I posted a picture of it next to my keyboard so you can see the size reference. I'm thinking a snap enclosure.. I want the exterior to be the whole patch and not like put the patch onto bigger fabric.. or, I could keep it long and add fabric to the pack for a zippered makeup clutch??


Anyhow, does anyone have any good ideas (even non purse related) for this? I'm fairly good with a sewing machine and am open to all suggestions.
