1  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / quick landscape from life on: March 21, 2008 07:23:28 PM
well folks, nice to be posting again. this is my first post in a long long time. I've been very busy with school. I have been looking around though, you guys never stop amazing me!
So I'm taking a figure painting class this quarter, and alas! this is a landscape. I haven't seriously painted in a year, and i haven't attempted landscapes in over two... so this is a YAY for me. I really dig it, I was at the lake with the family... bbqing and what not. I had to fend off small children that kept saying " Unt Bonnie, I Dunn see it. UNT BONNIE! I DUNT SEE IT!" but any way. If you can't see it, step back a few feet. I think its crazy how it works! up close can't see crap, from far away its like, "Oh! Trees!" hehe.

as always, i'd love some feedback. What do you think?
Thank you all for looking!
2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / I MADE A MONSTER PUPPET! on: November 30, 2007 07:47:01 PM
My boyfriend's birthday is next weekend. He likes puppets and stuffed animals. (yeah yeah, i know, its my fault, i got him into it! they had an elmo puppet at big lots one time....) ANY WHO! so .. i'm pretty poor, but i got LOTS OF FABRIC!

so this is what i made hims!

hehe, he makes the funniest faces!
3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / i made some cheesy holiday cards/gift tags.... on: November 25, 2007 05:32:55 PM
Yo yo yo! I made this today with my friend Kayla.

any who! hope someone likes them!

4  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Three new psychedelic folk art drawings to share! on: November 16, 2007 08:50:29 PM
Howdy guys. I've been relaxing since the quarter is over, been drawing a lot with my new prisma colors! Yay! Well I drew these, I hope someone has something to say. I appreciate all comments!

This first one is the latest, just felt peaced out and in need of some bright colors.

This is another pretty hippie chick...

And this is a weird one. My bf says that it reminds him of the French Animated movie Fantastic Planet, but I've never seen that... So i have no idea what he's talking about.

Once again, thanks for looking/commenting!
I've been in such a drawing mood lately. Sometimes, I dont know how, but I forget how therapeutic bright colors and shading can be.
The last few classes I've taken in school have been with a classic color palette, so these colors are such a pleasant change of pace!

love,
bunny
5  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / psycodelic nude in prisma. warning, nekkied lady! on: November 10, 2007 05:29:14 PM
I was bored in class. So I started drawring. I was inspired by that style in the 20's or 30's (hey i'm an art student but haven't studied that stuff yet, but i really like it) with the swirly lines and flowing hair... i feel like some of the art from the 60's was a knock off of it... so i tried my hand at something like it. Any who, i loved the way it was coming out so i swung by the bookstore and picked up some prisma! my first set in over a year. I'd love some feedback!

6  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / I turned my BF into an elf. or troll. whatever.... mystical creature. on: November 03, 2007 06:01:35 PM
This little guy here is indigenous to warm, humid climates. He is often found hording plants and plant like substances in order to discover the perfect edible stimulant. You see, this creature is often sleepy and in dire need of perking up. Many say he has an abrasive personality, others know he just takes time to get to know. However! Do NOT WAKE HIM UP FROM A NAP!
7  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / presenting! the most hideous stuffed monster ever!!!!!!!!! on: September 30, 2007 05:43:04 PM
Well, there's a long story here. I'll be brief. My boyfriend is an incredibly strange and yet wonderful creature. When we first started dating, some how I got him interested in puppets, which lead to a strange liking of stuffed animals. We're talking funny beavers from the dollar store and what not, not like... teddy bears or bunnies... or... ya know.

Any who. Our anniversary is coming up in two weeks. I thought this project would take longer, but really only took two afternoons.

He's made from scraps... i found the eyes and nose in a bag from goodwill. I didnt have a pattern, so its kind of a ... thrown together sort... but thats what i wanted, REALLY!

ANY WHO, he's about 2 feet high.
He's a MANLY stuffed animal.

MANLY!

if you were a stud-ly man with interesting interests, would you like it?

i just realized my top pic is sideways, but i dont know how to fix that because it doesnt come up sideways in my image editor. Sorry : (
8  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Baby Gomez costume... what to do? on: September 27, 2007 09:13:19 AM
Hi. I have a 8 mo. old nephew that my parents and I think is a dead ringer for the baby from the movie The Adam's Family Values. The only thing is... my sister in law is insisting on making him be a lion : ( Whats the fun of halloween if you can't make up a costume, and make it WONDERFUL!?

SO we're gonna kid nap him... take all of the pictures we want, and just pretend for the rest of his life he was the Adam's family baby. And then return him quietly to the confines of a mass produced, warm and cuddly, lion costume from wal... mart.

Heres a pic of the little devil:

and here is a picture of Pubert Addams:

Where would ya'll start?

I know they have black mousse for hair... Maddox's is kind of light reddish brown... So i'll have to darken him up a bit.

How do I keep the mustache on him? would powdering on it be a good idea?

9  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Old Man Wizard Pencil Draw-ring. on: August 04, 2007 11:05:03 PM
I was reeeally bored today and we had the tabloid mags out... I think it was the INQUISITOR or something. ANYWHOOO... apparently Willie Nelson is dying. My grandmother says we're distantly related to Willie, which I think is silly. Well any way... started drawing him. It doesn't look a DAMN THING like him ... his eyes are a little bigger and the distance from his chin to hairline is shorter. AND SINCE it doesnt look like him, we'll say its an old man wizard. With troubling thoughts about trouble on the distant horizon of doom.

: )

10  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Neato Sunshine piece... its gonna be a pouch! on: July 24, 2007 11:20:06 AM

They're so much fun! My eye doc says I do too much close up work though. loooooll... ; )
