1  Lemon Poppy Seed Muffin :) in Dessert by lovefindslove on: April 16, 2008 03:56:58 PM

yummmm Smiley

Here is the recipe I used:
http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,,FOOD_9936_30642,00.html

HOWEVER, I did not make the raspberry butter (which sounds amazing, too bad I had no raspberries hanging out at the house.) They turned out kind of dry and not very lemon-y. I think if you add some lemon pudding mix to them they would turn out reallllly great.

Anyway, they are still delicious and I could definitely eat all of them all by myself Smiley

2  Re: Gardening Supply Swap! DONE! in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by lovefindslove on: March 25, 2008 02:29:47 PM

A super cute pot, polymer clay plant markers for my herbs, polymer clay charms, seeds, and a strawberry kit (which is awesome!)
Where do you get those, by the way?

So, I know the pineapple is a bit small, but I couldn't see the bottom of the transfer very well and cut the poor thing's bottom off :-/

Let me know what you guys think!

Sorry I didn't iron after I was done - I got too excited to be finished! I just wanted to take the pics and post them Smiley

5  A few of my firsts :) in Knitting: Completed Projects by lovefindslove on: November 07, 2007 10:47:31 AM

Mini scarf. . . I think it will be one of my grandma's christmas gifts b/c she loves teal and the button reminded me of her Smiley

okay, so this is the sad part:

^this one was for size reference.

Yep, a beanie for a cone-shaped, very small, child's head. . . ouch, I know.

However, I am making one in this beautiful cream color and I do believe I know how to fix it now. So, I guess it was quite a learning experience. And plus, it took only a couple of hours, so no harm done.

Progress shot of new and improved beanie:

Baby Cardigan I am finishing during my next lesson (Thursday):
It's a really light, baby-ish green. The color is super cute!

I started at the bottom of the back, so next comes the sleeves!
I'm making two - because my friend had twins (one girl and one boy!) Smiley

So, I know it's not THAT impressive, but I'm quite happy with all of my items. . .well, not the green cone head beanie. . .

Anyway, feedback/tips/whatever appreciated!

6  Re: Show Off Your Hair! in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by lovefindslove on: July 30, 2007 07:40:38 PM
LOL that first picture is HILARIOUS! I really like your hair at every stage. . . They all look good on you!

My colors aren't near as awesome as yous guys's Smiley
But I get comments all the time on how it's always changing. . .then again I am from a small town in Texas. . .

oldest available (awesome face, I know. . .):

my hair was down to the middle of my back and i got bored with it, so i chopped it off.

then, not too long after:

thennn - brown:

sorry it's blurry, it's the best pic I have of my hair though. . .

now:

the colors are a bittt off. it's really a dark sandy blonde all over with a really blonde, almost platinum, streak.

7  Tube top out of hanes shirt and gray fabric :) in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by lovefindslove on: July 11, 2007 07:01:29 PM

My boyfriend was going to throw that shirt away because it had pit stains on it (lol sorry). I said no, and turned it into this, then made a huge gray band and sewed it on the top Smiley

bad picture of the back:

8  Making a tube top *first project*! I need a brilliant mind. in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by lovefindslove on: July 03, 2007 09:26:16 PM

so, as stated: this is my first sewing project in, like, five years.

it was a white shirt with a pocket. it had very small and very light pit stains (lol!) and my boyfriend was going to throw it away, but i didn't let him b/c i needed something of no worth for my first project. . .

so i left the pocket on and made a little tube top. . .now to the question - how do you make a band or something to go around the top? it is falling off of me - i guess it's the material. would it be better to make a band with a bit of stretch to add to the top or is there another way to handle this?

ANY ideas would be appreciated! thank you!

i'm excited :-D

oh- and any way to jazz it up a bit would be okay, but i'd rather leave it plain and wear a billion necklaces Smiley  thanks again Wink

9  Can someone help me out with this cami? Please? in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by lovefindslove on: June 27, 2007 08:51:36 PM

First off - sorry for the boobs. It's not me and it's the only pic I have of the shirt Smiley

Okay, I took this pic to the knitting board and they said it'd probably be better to sew it just because it would take forever to knit and I'm a brand new knitter.

The thing is, I'm a brand new sew-er too. Can anyone maybe tell me how I would go about doing this? Either a patter or free hand. I'm usually pretty good at free handing non sewing items, so I would be willing to try it - but I don't know how to do the straps or anything.

Any help at all would be appreciated! Thanks in advance Smiley

10  I want this shirt. Please help me get it :) in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by lovefindslove on: June 27, 2007 07:33:21 PM
First off - sorry about the somewhat race-y picture. It's not me - promise.

Is this knit, crochet, or would I be better off finding some fabric and sewing it up?

I'm brand new at all of the above, and I have ABSOLUTELY no idea what this is.

Any help would be greatly appreciated Smiley Thanks so much!!!!
