Undecided. anyone else think there are too many ads in these magazines?
13  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / to line or not to line???? on: April 29, 2008 11:07:20 AM
that is the question....
If your making a dress and the fabric is not see-through do you need to line it? what if the pattern calls for it? will it make a difference?

I loved making him and it was very hard to see him go, but I know he will be well loved and used. Cheesy

15  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Pattern copyright question on: January 31, 2008 08:24:49 AM
I made a hat the other day and Im wondering if it would be concidered an original pattern. I used parts of a couple patterns Ive used and put them together to make a different hat. I started with the first 4 rows from the baby earflap hat from SNB then I kept increaseing it until it fit my 8yr old. I left of the earflaps and added a brim (i learned from HIP HATS AND COOL CAPS) I'm not real sure I used the exact pattern for the brim because I didnt have the book with me. It looks close though. Then I SC around the whole thing and added a flower.
Is it original or am I a copycat?  Huh

20  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / WARNING WARNING "ADULTS EYES ONLY" WARNING WARNING on: January 17, 2008 07:55:14 PM
WARNING ADULT CONTENT!!!!

OK the back story of this little project goes like this:

A friend of my brother in laws dogs were fighting. He thought it would be a good idea to "try" to pull them apart. He ended up getting his nose bit off (literally) Cry ouch! Well, he got it sewed back on (doctors are crafty too!) When he goes outside it gets cold very fast and being a hunter this is a problem. His friends were telling him tht he needed a nose warmer or something and he said " As long as it not a cock and balls I'll wear anything" Thats when the brain storming began......

I present (drum roll)

heres a side view:

If you cant see, it fits over the nose. it looks like a small bra cup that fits over the nose but its not tight so it wont hurt his stitches.   Wink
I got the idea from Dipsticks lip balm cozie pattern, but modified it.
