11  Re: Home Made Light Box. in Completed Projects by pharmgirl on: September 28, 2007 09:59:56 AM
Your light box is awesome!  You should see my living room right now.  I have seven clamp lights with daylight light bulbs on my table.  It looks like a science lab at my house.  I take pics of my jewelry.  Daylight light bulbs are the best, because they don't give off a yellowish light like regular light bulbs.  They give off a nice, crisp white light.  I made a light box out of foam core from instructions off the internet, but I threw it away, because it took up so much room.  Here is a sample of what I get from just using a lot of good light, setting my camera to no flash and set it on micro and a little editing with my camera's software:

12  Fleur de lis bracelet I made for my professor in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by pharmgirl on: September 25, 2007 12:22:50 AM
I have an awesome American Poetry professor.  She is so adorable, and very much a Southern girl, and very much a Louisiana girl.  I called her and asked her about her favorite colors, because I wanted to make her some jewelry.  She said she wanted me to surprise her.  She said I  was a good observer and was sure I would pick up on what would match who she is.  The fleur de lis is a Louisiana symbol that reflects our French heritage.  So, what's better than a black and clear Swarovski crystal bracelet with a fleur de lis charm for a true French Southern, Louisianian.  I made her matching earrings that look like the three black crystal section on the bracelet.  What do you think?

13  My Snazzy Tote in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by pharmgirl on: July 19, 2007 03:17:50 PM
This is my first project to post on Craftster.  This is a common pattern, but I had to come up with all the measurements and adjustments, just the way I wanted them ~ which was be a bit comedy show if you ask me. Grin  There was lots of measuring and mis-measuring, needle sticking, some potty mouthing, Shocked with lots of help from my kitty cats, one of which you can see in the picture.  But, I wrote down every measurement, and I'm hoping it will be a little easier to make next time.  Tell me what you think.
