Front: I don't drink, but I want to, just so I'd have more fun at parties instead of feeling inhibited & awkward. (I'm a college student)

Back: Hell, I'd settle for alcohol getting me to the party instead of sitting in my room feeling lonely & left out.

Received the next three the later part of last week.

Front: I still have feelings of resentment towards my partner

Back: for not being there for the first 3 years of our daughter's life. She just turned 3 in July.

6  Twilight Pinata in Completed Projects by elwynceltic on: July 14, 2009 07:07:13 AM
My 8 year old son and 11 year old daughter are almost as obsessed with Twilight as I am, so for their birthday party this year (they are three weeks apart in the same month so they give mom a break and have one party together) they wanted a Twilight party. Of course, anything Twilight related in party supplies I would have had to order off the internet and pay mega bucks for. I spent too many hours on this pinata, and glued every square of tissue paper on by hand. I was going to just the apple, but after using up the entire package of tissue paper, and having a big blank hole staring at me, my boyfriend suggested printing out a picture of Bella and Edward and filling it with that. So lo and behold, my Twilight pinata -

I made it just using a flour and water paste, newspaper, and a roundish punch ball balloon. The stem was an empty toilet paper tube covered with mache then painted, and the leaf is some net fabric I had leftover from the poppet swap. It held up surprisingly well. All the kids hit it at least once, then the hanger pulled out and they dived on it, and that was the end of it.

Thanks for looking!

First off, I would like to apologize to my partner (the wonderful ClonedBravo) for taking so long to post pictures. But, here she is in all her wonderful Poppety goodness!!

Isn't she beautiful, but wait, there's something different about her. She seems to be glowing.... And when she stands up you can almost see why....

Can't quite put your finger on it??

My Poppet is PREGNANT!!!

She didn't want to get nekkid to show you, but I just had to show off her cute little belly!! I am currently pregnant with my third child, and not so subtley hinted that I would like a pregnant poppet, and lo and behold she totally outdid herself!! My poppet also has the prettiest blue and purple eyes, that were really hard to get a picture of, but I tried.

Since my b-day  is the 16th she also sent me some Twilight Sweethearts candy, which I totally forgot to get a picture of, but you can see the box kinda in the first pic.

Thank you so much ClonedBravo. You are one amazing Poppet-maker!!!!

I received from my partner mieljolie Saturday, and wow... that's all I can say and it doesn't do my package any justice. If I didn't know better, I would say she went to Diagon Alley and bought everything instead of made it!! everything was packaged very authentic like. I had to take pics with my cell phone, so it was hard to get the detail, but... like I said WOW!!

First things first, was a beautifully done letter letting me know that I was considered as a candidate for Professor of Defense against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts, and that the enclosed gifts were tokens of the staffs appreciation.

On to the goodies!! I got a box of Bertie Bott beans. Unfortunately I have already made my family eat some, so they refuse to do it anymore lol.

Second, was a test tube rack of yummy candy potions.

Then we have a set of parchments, The Slytherin set, with green and brown colors.

And if I can ever bring myself to use them (I don't want to mess them up they are so pretty!!!) I received a Scribbulus Ink Blood Quill "The Punisher" from the Dolores Jane Umbridge Collection!!

Even though I'm sure the Owl Post didn't know it was in there.... I received my very own Puffskein from the Magical Menagerie. Well, it was mine, my children have now claimed it. Luckily it hasn't bitten either of them yet Smiley

That would have been plenty, but wait, there is more!! A Slytherin Scarf. It is sooooo comfy and soft, and it gets chilly here in NC so it's being put to good use. When I opened it, I saw that there is snake detail on the ends, as well as fringe, but my camera would not take a picture where you could see the different colors, so hopefully my partner has one!

And finally, I got the Draco Malfoy and Severus Snape edition hairsticks. These are so beautiful!! And again, the packaging was so professional and made me feel like it came directly from the Harry Potter world!

I feel so spoiled!! Lol, my boyfriend is afraid that this will outdo his Christmas presents this year (I didn't have the heart to tell him that he was probably right!!)

Thanks again!!!

Oh, and if she wants, send me a list of the cards your mom is missing, I have a ton of x-tras, and I can send some of the ones I have that she needs Smiley

Oops, I did forget the dreadfalls... I had the box sitting in front of me while I posted pictures, and they were already in my hair Smiley

10  Night-Elf Poppet as well as young yoda and 1 more in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by elwynceltic on: October 03, 2008 09:46:36 AM
This is my poppet rendition of my best friend's World of Warcraft character. It's a Christmas present for him, and I really hope he likes it.

Here is a pic of his actual character... Moonbow a Night Elf hunter.

I didn't go all out in trying to make her outfit since, well, clothes are hard for me, lol so she just lounges around in some off time alova Smiley

My son wanted a poppet of his own, since I gave my first one to my daughter, and he wanted Yoda. Lol I am not that talented, and I had nothing to make hair out of, but he loves it. He said it's a young yoda since there is no gray hair. The other one is just one I whipped up and was messing around with a different hair style. She doesn't have any clothes yet either. Personally I think it's a lot easier to make the poppers than the clothes!!

Head on over to the Poppet along for more poppety goodness!
