1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Grocery bags. HELP!! on: August 28, 2008 12:59:19 AM
Ok, maybe this is a stupid question but does anyone out there know if you can put an iron-on, on a Gusset non-woven poly material? It kinda sounds flamable to me? Maybe an iron isn't user friendly with this? Ugh but I want it to be! These bags are the exact size of a paper bag and they come in colors!!!! They would be perfect for reusable grocery bags! (which they are) but I want to put pictures on them! And they are only a dollar!
I called the company but you guys are usually so much faster!
I've got my fingers crossed! Craftsers give me good news! Please!
Thanks in advace!
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Stupid question on: August 12, 2008 02:18:17 AM
Huh Ok I know this is a stupid question, but I found a pattern that I would like to put on grocery totes. It's a line drawing black and white, how do I get this to be an iron-on that I can try to stitch on or color? And if I just want it with color how is the best way to do this?
I'm sure this is easy, maybe I'm just thinking about it to hard? Huh
3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Christmas 2008 idea - grocery bags on: August 01, 2008 12:21:13 AM
My idea this year is to make everyone who grocery shops a grocery bag. I work in a grocery store and a customer of mine has these cute bags that are cotten? With a cross stitch band 4" across that she found a pattern for "piggy's go to market" It has the wording and 5 pigs, 4 face forward and the middle one has he's butt to go because he's going to market:) Very cute! So now I need to find bags, and a pattern? Any clues?

Any ideas as to what to put in the grocery bags as gifts other then my usually stuff (coco, chocolate covered spoons, bubble bath, candles, etc.) would be great also!

Marry Christmas crafting in July! May we all be done by December!

4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Cloth grocery bags you can cross stitch on on: July 31, 2008 12:05:54 AM
I work in a grocery store, so I see a lot of reuseable bags. A customer of mine has bags that have a cross stitch band across one side about 4' thick? Where she did a piggy goes to market with pigs and the saying.
She can't remember where she got them "years ago" so I'm hunting for some, thought that would be a good Christmas gift "bag" and then fill it with presents. Any ideas as to where to look? For the bags and maybe a pattern?
I'm not even sure if this is where I should post this? May post it in other places also. any ideas would be great! Thanks in advance!

6  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Easter / Mexican Cascarones (eggs filled w/confetti) on: March 12, 2008 12:47:04 AM
I understand everything about this except as a child they had a handle? A cone-like thing that we held while breaking it over someone's head. How do I make these?

I thought they would make a nice centerpiece on the Easter table, until the fun began and we could break them:)

Any hints?
