Hi Guys! everything is sooo cute! I love the amigurumi mug. Seriously, if everything in the world could just have a cute face on it, there would be world peace.

a wee elephant! He's a bit lopsided 'cuz I sewed his feets on unevenly. I think it makes him cuter



tickle tickle! you can see his green satin feet. (which were a PAIN to sew!)

The feet above belong to this little lady.

here she is sitting on my craft table.


she has button eyes and the suckers on her tentacles are also buttons which I sewed on by hand!(the longest part of construction)


and her bottom (oh my!)

from the tip of one arm to the tip of the other, she's around 23" long

The purple dude is the first octopus I made. He's a little simpler than the others, but I learned a lot about the construction from him.





And the blue dude!



his little face. At my Joann's they had a TON of buttons on clearance one day so I bought sooomany of those metal ones that I have to think up projects to use them on!

aaaand the bottom. He's about the same length as the pink one, only his head is slightly larger.

I can't stop! I'm at that point now where I'm ordering findings wholesale so I'll have something to attach the flowers to. I think I know what everyone's getting for Christmas this year. LOL



A 2 color brooch. I think this one turned out OK, but I do have a few of the 2 color blooms that look stupid. I think picking colors from the same part of the color wheel looks best.



This one's a hair pick. For the center I glued a rhinestone on top of a button.



and we're starting with the rings. I think it's my favorite thing to do with these guys. the center is a sequin with a seed bead in the hole.

maybe it's my monitor but this ring actually looks more teal in person than green. the center is a gold sequin with a bunch of seed beads in it



YELLOW!! I love the yellow ones. The center is made of a bundle of butter yellow floral stamen



we're getting really crazy on this one. 2 different color petals AND 2 different shapes. the center is a rhinestone inside of a large sequin



this kind is made by layering 2 pieces of fabric on top of each other and then folding them up so the outside is one color and the inside is another. Center is a rhinestone inside a sequin.



simple teal, the center is a yellow rhinestone.

beige brooch with an ornate metal button center. The fabric this guy is made out of is a little thinner that the rest. hence, the wonky folds. I still like it, though



happy flower print brooch! There's something satisfying about a flower made out of floral fabric. It's like everything comes full circle.... Yay orange button!!



this one's a ring. Winter white floral stamen in the center.



this one's made of purple satin (oooooh!) with a golden plastic button center. I made a brooch out of this same material for my partner in the Quick and Easy swap.



Aaaaaaand one more ring. 2 colors again pointy leafs of 2 different sizes. sequin and seed bead center.


Whew! That was a lot of kanzashi! I think I need a snack now....I'm going to go get a cookie. C&C welcome.

Hi everyone! This is my first post on this board so be gentle with me.

I was sitting around this afternoon, watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer when I decided I needed a case for my digital camera. I started playing around with some scraps and by the end of the episode. I had this!



The inside fabric is the pre-quilted kind so it gave the case some cushion without me having to actually quilt anything 



Side view. The black stuff is leftover wide elastic from another project, the trickiest part of the whole project was getting the elastic in evenly. ( sorry it's kind of blurry)



from the top. I recently found my buttonhole foot so the buttonhole is actually even. Weird, right?



and this is what it looks like all closed up! I was going to take and action shot and then I realized that it might be kind of hard considering my camera cannot be in two places at once!

Good Evening everyone! I finally got some pics uploaded so here are a few of my latest creations. I have officially caught the kanzashi flower bug.

This one is a little ring. It's a 1 inch flower which equals tiny! The small ones are harder to make, but I think they're so cute!



This one has a pin on the back. It's a little bigger, more like 2 inches because it's made out of upholstery weight fabric which doesn't fold as easily



I don't know why the pic on this one look overexposed.. it's really a true blue color with a lighter blue and purple flower pattern. Two layers of kanzashi goodness on a pin



This baby is my favorite to wear. I know it's hard to tell from the pic but the squiggly pattern on the fabric has a slight metallic sheen to it. Plus, teal is one of my fav. colors. I pretty much wear it pinned to me somewhere every day.



Another brooch. This guy is BIG almost 3.5 inches across, I've tried a few different ways of filling the centers of these things, but I always go back to the stacked button.



I made this guy for a friend of my mom's. It's a brooch about 2 inches in diameter. Kind of a burgundy with dots pattern. The center on this guy is floral stamen which are basically little paper sticks with a blob on each end and when you bunch them together, they look like the middle of a flower.



This is a bobby pin with a different kind of floral stamen center. I think this one looks more like a real flower than some of these other ones.



Another bobby pin this time in orange. And back to the stacked button center. 



This is the first kanzashi I ever folded. It's kind of a Barney purple. I used some purple twill not expecting it to turn out, but I ended up liking it! It's kind of cartoony. Like if you put your nose up to it, it will squirt you with water.



My sister is getting married this summer, so I folded up some hair things for her to choose from. She doesn't want to wear a veil, but she wants something 'veil-ish' so I think she'll like these. They're Dupioni silk with Swarovski crystal centers.







This next guy is a double layered one, too. This was the first flower I added leaves to. It reminds me of a magnolia flower. It's on a hair comb.



This one is a yellow and orange combo. It has seven petals. I don't love the odd number of petals, though, now I pretty much stick to even numbers, It's more symmetrical that way



Another brooch from the upholstery weight material. The thicker fabric gives the petals a stronger shape.

Opened my mailbox today and there it was! YAY Lavender is my FAVE scent and Mizell grew and dried it herself!


The bag is adorbs, too! I'm going to use it to carry around all the soap I make 



Oh, and Ziggy is sad that the soap is not bone scented

Yes, he's cute, no he's not mine, he's my bosses grandson. ( It's not weird ...I work for a small family-run business so he's pretty much my nephew)



I knit the sweater using the "scoop" pattern from Knitty, using different colors and leaving out the intarsia. I embroidered the logo and the letters and numbers for the back freehand.
