I recommend McCall's M5391 (http://www.mccallpattern.com/item/M5391.htm?search=m5391&page=1); I just bought it super-cheap on sale, but I'd been coveting it for a while. It's the perfect basic shorts pattern for either massive altering, or wearing just as the pattern makes em'. And when I say massive altering, I mean I'm currently making view "A" into sailor shorts using JJ from BurdaStyle's pattern pieces, and it's coming out perfectly.

I started a quilt this summer and got as far as starting to pin everything together - and then I got really intimidated by squaring everything up and the actual QUILTING that I'd have to do, so it's been folded up in a pile for three months. Okay, four now.

Today, though, I'm going to try this "bagging" technique and see if it makes my life easier.
