21  Hand Embroidered Eyeshades (sleep mask?) - with fur! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by gwennie363 on: November 14, 2008 11:02:23 PM
My boyfriend has been wearing boxers on his head to keep out the light ever since his pair of eyeshades broke a a few weeks ago. I've decided to remedy this with a new pair.

He owns a coat that is black satiny material, with colourful crowns embroidered on it and a fur lined hood. Somehow I came to the decision that I should match the eyeshades with the jacket. Odd, I know. Maybe one day he can coordinate an outfit with them, who knows .. Tongue

I also made myself some quick ones (okay, okay, I may have been wearing boxers as well .. Tongue) with earplugs attached for when he wants to watch TV till 2 am, which he is wont to do .. I haven't given them a wash so they markings I used are still there.

22  Rhinoceros Popup Card in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by gwennie363 on: November 06, 2008 12:08:28 AM
I just finished working as a designer my university's produciton of Eugene Ionesco's Rhinoceros (long story short: citizens of a town turn into rhinoceri) and I made these cards for closing night as thanks yous.

As you open the card, a rhinoceros slides out from behind a piece representing the town. "Oh! A rhinoceros!" is a line from the play. Each person's rhino was personalized (with certain costume pieces etc..) The crown was for the other two girls I worked with (cause they rocked hardcore!).

.. ended up making 20 of them. Eeek!

Anyway, thanks for looking Smiley

23  Aquarium Birthday Card [img heavy-ish] (updated: Images fixed) in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by gwennie363 on: November 21, 2007 11:23:19 PM
My boyfriend's 25 birthday was coming up so I decided to make him an ocean themed card at the very last minute. (He just got a saltwater aquarium and some seahorses and he's in love with them Smiley)

There are three layers, and the little fish is hanging by some fishing wire. The picture doesn't really do the depth of the card justice and the colours are a bit off, but there it is. It can fold flat so it can go in an envelope, but stands on its own as a little artsy thingee too. It was a ton of fun to make.

Thanks for taking a peek! Smiley
