1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Hedgerow Coat from IK question on: October 10, 2007 01:59:56 PM
I'm working on this, too.

I have found it helpful to use two separate row counters, one for the cable section and the other for the middle section.

If it weren't for the stitch counters I would have no idea where I had left off Smiley

This one's nice:

Looks like she used just about 400 yards of sock yarn, maybe slightly less.

I can't believe that no one has mentioned koigu.  So soft, so pretty.  Love it.

I'd go for option #2, myself - especially if it has raglan sleeves, it would look like a cute baseball T hoodie Smiley
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Baby patterns Wanted!!!! on: September 04, 2007 02:06:37 PM
Debbie Bliss has the *cutest* baby patterns ever.  They are really simple, but super cute and "current", for the most part they don't look like the grandma knits in the pamphlets at craft stores.

Lots of cute baby boy hoodies/sweaters, too!

Oh gosh... hate to say it but it's pretty hideous to me...  what's up with the "clown barf" strawberry?

eek.

I want to join in!!!!  I just recycled my first sweater - a gorgeous light pink 100% cashmere sweater!  The yarn is chunky/bulky weight and super soft - I'm making the cropped shrug/hoodie pattern that was posted on the boards a while back - I can't post piccys yet, but when I get enough posts  I will.

Forgot to mention I got the sweater at the local goodwill, barely worn and it was a breeze to frog - for $2.00.

I felt like I got away with robbery or something Smiley
