i'm not sure what kind of veil it was, but here's a pic of the one that i made for my wedding in may.  it was super easy and i made it with directions like the one posted by islandfly.

babycakes- they are knitted.  my sister actually made them for me, so sorry that i can't help you out too much!  i know that they are the tulip pattern from pickup sticks.  she used cascade 220 yarn for all of them (so that they felted evenly).  one tip if you do try to make them- put a piece of ribbon through the stem before you felt them.  that way, when you go to put the wire through, you have a spot (otherwise it will felt together and then there will be no way to get them to "stand" by themselves.)  also be sure to put safety pins at the ends of the ribbon before you felt them so that the ribbon doesn't pull through while felting.

sorry i wasn't much help.  if you have any other questions, post and i can try to get an answer from my sister!

babycakes- thank you so much!  we really wanted to have a wedding that was "us" and i think we really achieved that.  i also hate "cookie cutter" weddings and wanted to steer as far away from that as we could.

we had about 80 people which i think was the perfect amount!

islandfly- which headpiece are you talking about?  the white feather one or the green one??  either way, i can't really give too much advice as i just winged it for both of them.  i collected things that i liked slowly from joann's and michaels and then about a week before the wedding i tried to look online for some inspiration.  they were really both just "happy accidents".  i just looked at what i had bought and kinda started playing with it all until i liked what i did.  i was super happy with how the green one came out- i was surprised at how well it all came together.  sorry that it's not too much help!  Smiley

thanks for all the lovely comments everyone!

we liked the ipod/computer dj.  it went pretty smooth.  we did make up playlists beforehand- ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, first dance/mom's dance, and then we split the reception into three parts, early, mid and late.  the early dance stuff was more "hits" and stuff that we thought would get the most people dancing.  we also requested songs from people on our rsvps, so we included them in our playlists.

as a side note: we had a scrapbooking company come in and take pictures of everyone to put on a scrapbook page for us.  it really was a huge hit and everyone was busy getting their picture taken or working on a scrapbook page for us, so there really wasn't a whole lot of dancing going on.  i was kinda frustrated because we put so much time into the playlists and then we ended up just skipping around because people were requesting their songs and/or wanted to hear different songs.  i'm glad we didn't spend the money on a dj though!  that would have been a waste!

thanks thekster!!  i didn't actually even notice the little "pouf pots" while walking up the aisle- but i definitely would have had i had a bigger dress.  our aisle was pretty narrow, but if you are having your wedding probably anywhere else (we had it on a porch) that wouldn't be a problem!
