1  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Re: Big bad baby blanket on: April 11, 2007 09:23:42 AM
Yup, most of my knitting is done watching movies at home or in the theatre, or while hubby drives, so it goes pretty quick. I'm halfway done now, but we're in the middle of a move, so I haven't been knitting as often as I was. I think it's going to take 12 balls to make this blanket (the balls of yarn I'm using are on the small side). I have 18 balls though, just to be safe. Not for making adorable baby cargo camo pants, nope, not me...

Wow, thanks for those links!
The illusion scarves amaze and astound and, of course, intimidate me.
I clicked all of the links on the page from the second link.
My husband flipped out when he saw the dark mark bag. So I guess I'll be using the dark mark chart to put it on his scarf somehows...What a nutter...

It was in fact very soft...and when I did try it on for pictures I was tempted, so tempted...
But blue's not my color, and she's a very cool boss.  Smiley

Wow! They really do look like owls! I've yet to do cables at all. (So intimidated...) But I want to try those when I do!

Right now I'm working on a scarf for myself and a baby blanket for my friend and a bracelet for my mom...
After that is a scarf and hat for my husband. And then I'm finally making myself a bag!
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / My 2nd FO "Airy Scarf" on: March 26, 2007 07:51:26 AM

Ready to be wrapped! Yeah, I bought those cheesy little personalized tags...hee...hee...

Me, trying it on to make sure it'll work as planned. Not for me though, so I look awful.

The recipient, my Grandma! She looks so pretty in it! But she always looks pretty!

I knitted this for my Grandma for her birthday. (Take that, knitting-is-for-Grandmas people! I knitted a present for my Grandma, not vice versa! This Grandma doesn't even knit!) She likes to wear scarves around her head in a headbandy sort of way, so I wanted to knit her something light and cute. Not something to give her the dreaded headsweats. As a first experience with lace knitting, I think it went okay. It was knitted with Patons Lacette color Beautiful Blue. The pattern is from the book Last Minute Knitted Gifts.
