22  halloweekend 09 costumes! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by threehang on: November 04, 2009 04:03:53 PM
This year, I dressed up as The Ocean for Halloween.

And my friend dressed up as a Giraffe. She and I cut and sewed those blobs onto that teeshirt.

I also went to a "Thriller" Party, so I made myself a sequin glove:

Hope everyone had an awesome Halloweekend as well Smiley

24  tie-dye zebra print amazingness (a good numbahh of picz) in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by threehang on: October 08, 2009 11:29:53 AM

sans cardigan:

How I made it:
I had a remnant of black and white zebra cotton:

And then I painted it with watered down acrylic to create this tie-dye effect.

And I made a mess: (but I had newspaper underneath! even if it was soggy)

The top of the dress was made from black rib knit fabric, I just copied the shape of a beater I already own.

Thanks for looking and comments are welcome!

28  graduation dress - yeahyeah seen-yuhs oh-nine! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by threehang on: June 26, 2009 11:56:54 AM
Last night, I graduated high school. WHOOOO!

I made this dress yesterday.....and finished it 2 hours before I had to line up in my cap and gown with the 350+ other seniors in my graduating class. But no worries, it's probably one of my favorite things I've made so far, even with all of its flaws.

I took inspiration from xxboheme's peekaboo dresses (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=285224.0).....although my heart turned out lopsided. BUT I think I can fix it. I didnt' have time before graduation though....obviously . Anyway here it is!

29  super easy lacy dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by threehang on: June 23, 2009 01:15:56 PM
I stole this stretch cream lace from my friend's basement (shh don't tell!  Wink ) and I threw this dress together Cheesy The whole thing is edged with fabric from an old teeshirt. And...yes, it's see-through, but here I'm wearing it with shorts and a tanktop underneath, and I've worn it with leggings before too. Also, it makes for a great swimsuit coverup.
