^^i love the little tea cups and the black hand, also the birdcage!! How cool! The chain is really awesome too... great job!!!!

i have received an awesome envelope in the mail from candi today! Here is the master piece:

ok edited to say what all the gorgeous pendants are!
TOP TIER:
sterling silver ring - inscribed "ignite magick" from the store she works at
jingly bell bunny - from a small asian store, she's had this since she was 10!
green cube - it's origin is a mystery!
prince portobello tag - from a favourite winter hoodie  Grin
cluster of stars - from a much loved pair of earrings that fell apart

BOTTOM TIER:
winged heart - these pieces kept appearing together, so she thought it was a hint they wanted to be glued together  Cool
green K - origin is questionable!
hello kitty charm - she made her mum buy this, it was stuck to a fluffy key chain and her mum said she'd have no use  for it  Wink
green wire wrapped star - used to make them when she was bored a few years ago, there was only one left!
thimble - from her grandmother
jingly ducky - brothers with the duck!
bobbin - from her grandmothers old sewing machine
key - from her first diary  Smiley
wire wrapped bead - one she made for the necklace

i also received some extras, candi works in a body jewellery/piercing store and i go to town with my piercings, so here are some cool leopard print plugs [droooool], horse shoes with dice, spikes, balls, etc. and a taper spike with bands... i love all of these! [ps. only one dice on the horse shoe, im wearing one atm on my monroe/beauty spot!  Grin ]

thankyou so much candi!!!

45  Re: Born In The Wrong Decade Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by TwistMySister on: December 19, 2008 03:34:36 AM
Ok so this is what I got from crazyred [aka Carrie] .i had half of this post already done but it froze and closed!!! Grr!!! This is an ordeal posting pics, lol >: [
My decades were 20s flapper, 50s pin up & 77 punk rock.

Here is everything:

A 50s pin up tin, and 77 punk rock box! Inside was a body bar (smells soooo good!) and on that was a really cool sticker (of Alaska I assume!) which has found a home on one of my guitars. Also a bunch of caramels! Yum! Inside the punk box, it has pictures of bad brains, ramones, black flag, a definition of punk rock & PUNK ROCK GIRL. On the back it has the saints.

The body bar.. if you look close you can see the imprint of a purdy flower : )

A thumb pin cushion! I have never seen one of these before, it will be so handy! The fabric Carrie used is so awesome!

Flapper themed hair pin. Its so detailed and gorgeous! She made this! The pictures do NOT do it justice.

3 awesome 50s pin up soaps! These came in a really pretty leopard print bag (which you can see under the soaps) with cute trim on the bottom. I love these so much I think Ill be displaying them and not using them! Cheesy

Extras include a shit ton of candy, cookies & chocolate! Will definitely be filling up peoples stockings with these! : ) Also a postcard and an awesome cd by a local band she knows called The Bastards! Which is not in its case cause I was listening to it!  Grin How cool are  those chocolate bar wrappers from Alaska??!

A clash t-shirt!! So cool, I love it!!! Ive worn it 3 days now. Lol. My nice hygiene in action. Being modeled on my amp.. and me! : )

Flapper themed handbag, so pretty!! The trim is perfect, and its so cute! Shall be taking her out for a night on the town! Cheesy

Now if there is anything I have forgotten, Carrie dont hesitate to tell me!! I love everything, thank you so much. : ) xxx

46  Re: GALLERY Hayao Miyazaki/ Studio Ghibli Swap MAIL BY (11/12/08) in The Swap Gallery by TwistMySister on: November 12, 2008 01:34:45 AM
wow, great job trisha!!!! loving the pair of hats (how cute) and the bag with the cat in the inside! fabulous work!!!

My partner hasnt PM me or the organizer for over 3 weeks now, so I was advised not to send. Antler_girl is an illustrator, likes pink baby pink especially, setsuko, soot sprites, kikis delivery service, totoro, armwarmers, hats etc. This is the stuff I crafted:

everything

a knit hat as requested, it has a detachable face/neck warmer..

a pair of firefly earrings, with baby pink glass bead

kiki-styled headband/bow (but not red, baby pink!  Wink )

a family of sprites...

...turned into 4 pencil toppers (illustrator) and 1 keychain!  Smiley

beaded & embroidered lined pouch with drawstring
inside..

setsuko on one side

why do fireflies have to die so soon... on the other

armwarmer with gigi stencilled all over with extended fingers cause she has a skin condition or something and wanted to cover her knuckles..(only one cause i ran outta fabric  Sad )

sorry about the gross/evil facial expressions.. also sorry if theyre too big, photobucket & photos arent my fortay  Roll Eyes
i was going to buy a tin of fruit drops too (grave of the fireflies) and wrap and tag everything with kiki's delivery service.. but she stopped being in communicado so i didnt bother.. except now i have this massive ass envelope with her name and adress plastered over it, but maybe i can salvage it for my other swap.  Huh
anyway, thanks for looking! im soooo dissapointed about not getting any hayao/ghibli goodies  Sad  ..but oh well, shit happens i guess! never been flaked on before  Roll Eyes thanks everyone for being part of this swap too, it was fun! cant wait to see everyones crafts!!

This was my first swap ever. I must say its been so awesome meeting all you ladies, and its been great fun to craft these things, and see what everyone else crafted/received and how you all view feminism. Ive been very lucky for this to have been my first trip into the world of swapping. Thanks everyone. Anyways, these are the things i crafted for teraspawn, she received yesterday  Smiley i think i fixed the pictures this time!!! i hope so.. eek.

i think this is the link to the album. i think why it didnt work is cause i moved them all into an album but i cancelled it but obviously it still put them in there  Roll Eyes

http://s79.photobucket.com/albums/j147/suspendedsmiles666/fem%20swap/

and here is:

tee/singlet with embroidery/buttons/fabric paint/stencils etc.

6 cloth pads, 2 liners, 2 regular & 2 overnight/heavy flow

5 magnets - rosie riveter, anarchy/peace/feminism, "feminism is  the radical notion women are people", "damn right im good in the kitchen, i can eat for hours", "equality for all" ...

period planner.. the match stick in the middle actually spins so you are up-to-date at what time of the month youre at!  Wink

libra (sanitary product brand if you didnt know : ) ) coin purse

4 patches women belong in the house.. and the senate , Im a star, and 2 hello kitty ones.

little feminist doll with petticoat, dress, knickers, bra, and various body parts drawn on. She took me the longest, and I still didnt get her exactly how I wanted her.  I like how I did the uterus, it looked good to me, lol. Best uterus I ever drawed. Didnt get a picture so youll just have to take my word.  : D  I didnt get her little cross stitch done for an accessory but oh well. Woo and onward we go..

pair of 4.5 mm knitting needles I got on sale, just thought I should get them and put them in the package aswell seeing as she likes knitting : )

and lastly, here we have a large hello kitty badge, barrette & heart/bow pin.

: )
Ill post pictures of things I received from teraspawn when I get the package! Cant wait to see what I got!!
