1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Gir Embroidery on: September 24, 2012 03:38:28 AM
I made this for my partner in the End of Summer Random Swap, inspired by this post: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=409236.msg4829925#msg4829925

I finished off the back using this technique: http://thetroublewithcrafting.blogspot.co.uk/

2  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Belly dancer poppet-a-like on: August 26, 2011 06:09:12 AM
Inspired by this poppet http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=383028.0

I really wanted to make one for the recent verb swap but I didn't think that my sewing skills were up to the task.  I found this doll on Ravelry http://byhookbyhand.blogspot.com/2010/07/pocket-spirits.html and used it as the base for my doll.  I made up the clothes myself with purple glittery yarn and goldfingering.  My favourite part is the hair, it was my first time doing anything like this and I'm really pleased with how she turned out.

And here she is having a dance in her new home:

Thank you for the photo Lionne
3  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / UK Destash Swap on: August 25, 2011 11:22:15 AM
Would anyone be interested in organising another UK destash swap?  There was one a while ago I didn't manage to join and I wish I could find it but me and Craftster's search facility don't get on very well.  I have lots of crafting things I've bought and never used and could be useful for someone else.  And I would really like some fabric as my supply is tiny.
4  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Buttony bird box - Tatty Devine inspired on: July 11, 2011 02:37:41 AM
I made this for bekibutton in the latest I <3 Buttons Swap.  It's inspired by the Tatty Devine canary from her wist: http://wists.com/bekibutton/11dead83a4a6815fb3db29891ce8c76b?offset=0

Thank you for letting me use your photos bekibutton!
5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Stripy rainbow elephant stuffy on: May 10, 2011 09:12:40 AM
I made this for the FOC raffle at the start of the year.  He's made from two fulled sweaters.  I designed him myself.

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Rainbow Glittens! on: April 18, 2011 08:51:41 AM
I know, not quite the right time of year for those of use in the Northern Hemisphere, but I couldn't resist making them for my stalkee in the recent Crafty Detective Swap.

I wish I could remember what yarn I made these from - lost the ballband early on.  I know it's 70% wool, 30% premium acrylic but that's it.  Pattern from The Knitter's Bible, Knitted Accessories.
7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Granny Square Slippers on: February 02, 2011 08:04:44 AM
I made these for karin_ for the Buy Nothing Swap and I've only just got round to posting them!  I've always loved granny squares but for some reason couldn't grasp how to make them (although I could crochet).  When I found out that karin_ was also a fan of granny squares I was determined to crack it...and I did!

Made with Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran and Cascade 220.

8  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Givers and needers Round 8 on: October 04, 2010 12:21:57 AM
I inherited a LOT of yarn recently and there is simply no way I'll ever use it all.  I would love to pass it on to someone who could.  I was wondering if anyone else is interested in a givers and needers swap and also, if anyone would like to organise.  I've never organised a swap before but I'm quite willing to if no one else steps up.
9  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / My first mini art quilt on: July 12, 2010 10:32:01 AM
I made this for my City and Guilds machine embroidery course.  It's organza fused to a printed cotton background and then machine embroidered.  I've never done anything like this before, and it's my first time binding anything.  I know it's not perfect, but I'm quite proud of it, all the same.  It's inspired me to practice making more mini art quilts. Oh and it's not actually as wonky on the right side as it looks in the picture!

10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Zelda Triforce hat on: October 10, 2009 07:34:36 AM
I made this hat for my boyfriend for his birthday.  The Triforce symbol was created using duplicate stitch, which I'd never tried before but is now my new favourite thing!
