Ello!

I made this necklace for my MIL for her birthday, it has the birthstones (swarovski) of herself, her daughter, and granddaughters in it.

The chain is Forars Kaede, made from stainless steel.
MIL enjoyed it! How bout you? Cheesy

6  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Scorpion King Cassandra outfit in Chain Maille! Now modelled! on: May 30, 2008 10:14:31 PM
Hello!

Been a while since I've posted here..... Cheesy

A long time back I made an aluminum set like this for a lovely lady in Columbus, unfortunately, we seemed to have lost contact before I recieved the promised modelled pictures. I posted them here on a mannequin, but it's just not the same in my opinion.

This January, I recieved a message asking if I could reproduce the costume pieces in gold, and late last month the finished anodized aluminum pieces made their way to Germany, to their new owner!

Here's a few modelled pictures she furnished:

The full view, showing the bra and belt. There's over 300 little interconnected diamonds made from the euro 4n1 pattern in these pieces. The disc in front of the belt is a kuchi pendant, commonly used in belly dancing.

A better view of the bra, I had to use a bigger ring in the center to pull the cups together, otherwise they hung a bit too far apart to give any coverage.

Closer view of the belt.

Closer view of the bra

The 'artzy' shot....LOL

Whatcha think? Cheesy

7  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / The start of an underwater themed chess set on: July 29, 2007 05:48:29 PM
Yup, more old sculpey!  Cheesy

I still never finished it, I never decided quite what to make the kings and queens from, but here's some of the rest.

Pawns are seahorses, knights are dolphins, bishops are squid, and rooks are coral pillars. Whatcha think?  Grin

Have fun!

8  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Castle tower from sculpey on: July 29, 2007 05:40:37 PM

I made this a long time ago, and figured this would be a good place to show it!

This is the front:

I carved out the steps and crenelations after baking, and then painted.

This is the back:

Just plain sculpey and paint, and the shiny varnish stuff for it.
Wish I had time for everything I like to do!!
Well, back to chainmaille for me....LOL

9  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Metal Scale Earrings on: May 31, 2007 01:36:58 AM
Ello!

Just wanted to post this little accidental experiment.....LOL

These are stainless, they hang that way naturally, making a 'feather' like appearance. I think it's purty cool!

This one's anodized aluminum, I made a whole ear chain for 2 piercings. Do you think it's too much? I was thinking maybe just the scales down the back of the ear, and a bit of maille from the bottom of the lobe to the bottom of the curve of the scales? My wife likes it, but she's kinda biased...LOL

Thoughts?

Thanks!

10  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Some new Chain Chevron Earrings! on: April 29, 2007 06:30:06 PM
Ello!

I just finished these up....

Black and regular stainless, in a chevron pattern.

Blue anodized aluminum and stainless with a saturned blue fiber optic bead.

This one's a doubled chevron with saturned hematite beads.

Like 'em, hate 'em?

Have fun!
