What fun fellow and great jackets! Smiley
Not sure if I  loved more the jackets or the story of the jackets Cheesy - either way- great job! Wink
12  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Everything is better in miniature. on: November 08, 2015 10:33:04 PM
Fall has been so busy and I've been felting lots.
And I need to take breaks to make something different- I used to love painting, what I call "creative sewing" (wonky seams and [not always happy] surprising twist end results Tongue), crochet and paperstuffs... so many things.
So, I remembered of faeries. They're fun, tiny and happy.

And i had to make this happy colorful surrounding in fairy style- or just miniatures- I have Jun Planning dolls and I just adore bjd's- too bad they're pricey (or maybe it's a good thing ... Tongue).

Anyhow, at 5 am last night (or morning?) I finally finished Smiley - I had to make 2 looks, as my crazy brain demands to balance colorful-gypsy style with palate cleansing boho chic Cheesy

and the organic natural:

Only my fav materials were used- pure silk, vintage lace, crazy fluffy colorful pompom yarn, jute cord and seed pods and wool Smiley

Hope You like ! Wink

Yes- brushes are great!  Smiley

Now I need to try and see if I like the 40s - I think I owned them a long while ago, when I didn't really know to compare Cheesy

Thanks so much!

I pretty much use the 38 star for everything Cheesy - I use dto have a couple of sizes, but gave up on having more than 38.
And I was hoping the specialty needles would give different effects, esp. on the pet replicas, pulling and mixing different shades, but doesn't really sound like it'd be such difference.
I did find someone selling the spirals, on Etsy, for pretty much the same price as the regulars... but cheapened out and didn't buy Cheesy

I just found this! And I'm so glad and grateful You wrote all this down with photos.
I was about to purchase the reverse/spiral needles, but I think I'll skip it now- sounds like too much work for very little effect.

Thank You for posting this!

Thanks so much, everyone! <3

And normally I don't really care for fun yarn Cheesy - but when I saw it, I knew it had to be mode into hedgies! There's this really neat faux fur, that looks JUST LIKE hedgie prickles, that I might have to try one day.
And I love hedgehogs- we had them in our backyard, when I was growing up, many families used to give them milk and they kept coming back (well, I read recently they're lactose intolerant!). And my kids wanted to get pet hedgies reaaalllly bad, but turns out they're illegal in CA :S
