1  Pink crocheted tam! Picture heavy, first time crocheter in Crochet: Completed Projects by plum_wine on: April 19, 2007 12:23:36 PM
This is my first, 110% successful, non-square project. It's....a big, slouchy tam! I've been wanting one so badly, so I whipped this up instead of spending $30+ on one at a fancy store. And now, pictures!

If for some reason the pictures don't work, just let me know.

PS: I used http://www.chezcrochet.com/page60.html as the basis for the tam. I followed very closely in the beginnning, but skipped about half of the end and made up my own decreases. It's a wonderful pattern though, and I highly reccomend it.

4  Re: "Sweater of Many Buttons" Knitalong! in Knitalongs by plum_wine on: September 06, 2006 08:14:01 AM
Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran....it was so nice that I couldn't pass it up.

Here's my progress so far, I'm at about 4 inches. My goal for today is to finish with the raglan increases, which is totally doable if the Vicodin I'm on doesn't knock me out too badly.

5  Re: Anthropologie-inspired capelet- By julsey723 in Knitalongs by plum_wine on: August 29, 2006 07:57:45 PM
I finished mine today! It took me about six hours of actual knitting (and about 18 hours of sleeping, eating, driving, showering, etc.) Sooo....

Tadaaa! Pre-blocking, because I was so excited, but I love it already!

6  First fair isle project... in Knitting: Completed Projects by plum_wine on: August 21, 2006 08:41:51 PM

I used http://ohmystars.net/craft/knitting/pfihat.html as a patttern with some slight modifications....bu t I basically just taught myself "stranded" knitting/fair isle knitting. I'm making one for my girlfriend, but in different colors and with earflaps.

7  Peach Cell Phone Holder! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by plum_wine on: June 30, 2006 08:55:19 PM
This is part one of a 3-5 part birthday present for my girlfriend...her favorite colors are orange and brown, and her favorite fruits are peaches, so I decided to incorprate all of that into something useful- a cellphone holder! It's not 100% finished (I need to add a strap), but the bulk of it is done, and I was so excited that I had to show pictures.

I was going for the "big cute haphazard stitches!" look, but it came out looking like "ZOMG THE SEAMSTRESS WAS ON CRACK, LOL!!" stitches, so...yeah. Here it is!

PS: It was based on an iPod-holder tutorial I found in the tutorial list for this board, and inspired by the beaded-fruit iPod holders a few posts back, but I heavily modified the pattern, and I don't know how to bead. ^_^;;;

8  Record Journal, but a different sort... in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by plum_wine on: July 05, 2004 01:56:58 PM
I made a record journal after reading about them online, but the site I went to had no pictures. Now that I've actually made it (for a friend's birthday present) I'm all finding the kind that are square. Well, mine's a little different (sorry for the picture quality)

This is the outside

This is the inside.

I'll make a tutorial if anyone wants one, but it's pretty easy to figure out without one.

Ah, oh yeah, this is my first post. Hullo!
