I'm omni, but I occasionally eat vegetarian and even vegan. Lots of my friends are veg and vegan and I realize how many people really are judgemental of what they eat.
I don't understand it personally, its just food! All in all they're MUCH healthier than the meat eaters I know.
To battle the nay-sayers we have vegetarian/vegan food only potlucks. Its awesome! I've tried so many things that I would never have known how to make otherwise, and found out that I can make a mean vegan chilli!
I used to work in a pizza restaurant and found it so hypocritical when I would serve so called "Hardcore vegetarians/vegans" who would eat there despite my warnings that EVERYTHING was cooked in mass amounts of animal lard! (And I mean MASS amounts) I even had people order bacon bits on stuff then argue that they were "just immitation bacon anyway". wtf? So It isn't okay to eat animals, but it IS okay to love how they taste?
When I eat vegetarian products, I don't expect them to taste like animals, especially burgers...
