For realz!  Check this out!:

Thats what I got in my swap package!  A drop spindle and a book on spinning (Oh man, do I ever love craft books!) and 3 different types of fibre of spin!  THREE!!!  And look how pretty they are!!!  The light blue one is silk!!!  Holy Cow!!!

So glad you like the arm warmers cinnamon teal!   Cheesy  I just realized that they are the first cable project I've ever completed!  (I knit myself a cabled scarf one time a few years ago, but never finished it)

There really isn't a way that you can tell how much a package is going to cost to send cause it will be different for different places, like the "Once you Pop swap", I usually don't swap overseas much anymore because it got too expensive, but I figured for OYP, seeing as the package was small and lightweight, I'd do overseas.  My partner was in South Korea and I ended up spending $37 to send one pringles can.   Sad

I've been finding postal prices really bad lately.  I'm in Canda and generally the swap packages I send within' Canada and the US cost me between $15 and $20 for regular ground shipping and take for freakin' ever.  Like, it's nothing for a partner in the US to have to wait 3 weeks for a package from me.  The last 2 I sent weren't too bad, they arrived in less than 2 weeks.  Even within Canda its generally 2-3 weeks before a package reaches its destination, and it will get worse before Xmas.

30  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / Re: Why yes, that IS Cthulhu resting on my pumpkin. on: October 25, 2010 09:08:38 AM
Did you take this picture the first day?  It looks really cool!  I've carved pumpkins this way too and I find that after a couple of days, when the pumpkin dries out, it looks even more awesome.

What tools did you use?  I usually use a vegetable peeler, some paring knives and last year I had a cheap set of wood carving tools that I found at the dolalr store, including a V gouge that was an AMAZING help!  Smiley
