1  Re: October 2010 Birthday Discussion and Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by KrisCreates on: November 26, 2010 08:30:37 PM
Haha, okay, seriously loling at eeyore_witch's "not wanting to beat customers" quote, haha

Alrighty then, speaking of eeyore_witch, have I ever told you how amazing she is?  CAUSE FOR REALS SHE IS AMAZING!  I got the most epic package ever from her!  Here, I will show you!:

First of all, the crafted element:

A KOOL-AID JAMMER PURSE!  Isn't it awesome!  SO RAINBOW COLOUR-Y!  SO RECYCLE-Y!!!  I love it muchly, but not only do I love it, my 9 year old son saw it and said "OH MY GAWD!  That is so cool!!!!  Do you think you could figure out how to make me one!?!?!  Can I have THAT one!?"  To which I replied "NO!  You dontt want a PURSE do you!?" to which he replied "IT COULD BE A SATCHEL YOU KNOW!  BOYS CARRY SATCHELS!!!"  My sister is also very jealous of said purse and has threatened to steal it.  I now hide it whenever it sin't in use because she's always sneakin' into my apartment and stealin' my stuff!!!

K, now on to the extras she threw in the box.  SO MANY EXTRAS!  eeyore_witch chose me cause we have a bunch of stuff in common, including an intense love of saving old cabbage patch dolls which have been orphaned and fixin' em up.  She has a huge collection compared to my meagre 17, but she sent me 2 old vintage CPK dolls!  Lookie!  I love em' sooo much and they are welcome editions to my collection!

Awesome...

Then she sent these:

Which I have for serious been wearing EVERY DAY.  Love them.

Then this stuff:

Where did you even find this stuff!?  So wicked, i think I actually had those figures when i was little but lost them.  I'm pretty sure that cheerleader is familiar, except I think the one I used to have was dressed in purple... Anyway,  They are now in my room on my bookshelf  Smiley

And a whole buncha CPK clothes, which is always good, cause lots of times when I scour thrift stores for Cabbage Patch Kids, I find them unclothed and unloved, or half clothed and have to find or knit clothes for them.  Like seriously, my friends think I'm cracked cause I spend so much time making doll clothes when i don't even have a daughter...

Anyway, moral of the story, eeyore_witch is super awesome and this package was a very bright point this week in my extremely hectic life.  Thank you so much to everyone who swapped with me and thank you Troublet for this super awesome swap.  i can't wait until next year!

K, here is the awesome-sauce package that Myrdda sent me!  It is frikkin' wicked, so be prepared:

Lookie! lookie!!!  See the mushroom pin cushion!?  I loves it!  It is so pretty that I almost don't want to stab it with pins!  Of course I use it while sewwing, but I also put it out on display in my living room just cause I like it so much!

And the magnets!  Gnome magnets!  *swoon*   Cheesy  I can never have enough magnets, especially strong magnets like these ones, perfect for keeping kid drawings ang school schedules on my fridge!

See that thing with the Gnome drawn on it?  Its a tote bag that folds up into its own pocket!  It is soooo awesome cause for liek, FOREVER now I've been meaning to make tote bags for my groceries and stuff and I was specifically thinking that a bag like this would be perfect cause it could fold up and go into my purse for impromptu trips to the grocery store, and here it is!  I have one and it is wicked!

Here is the outside of the bag!  So cute!

The inside!  Oh I love the lining fabric!  Sunny and bright!   Smiley

Thank you ever so much Myrdda!  I liked everything a whole lot!

So without further ado, here we go!

Super soft greenish blue yarn head band! The yarn in it is sooo nice!

I loooove this headband!  It's made of this pink and metallic ribbon yran and it looks soooo cool!

Really cool wire-wrap dread charms, these are so neat!

Hand made dread beads made out of metalic-y spakly polymer clay

Thanks again Missing_Muse, it was a super rad package!

K, got my package from pixieval!  SHE IS AMAZING!  I feel like a total noob, cause I'm only about half way finished the stuff for her, so I'm gonna work on it all tonight and tomorrow and hopefully get it sent out by the end of the week.  I can't believe she got all this stuff done so quick!

So here we go!

Uber rad hat that totally fits over my dreads and is made of awesomeness (and cotton)

Goomba amigurumi for my son!  isn't he rad!?

Caleb rockin' out with the Goomba

ACTION SHOT!  the effin' AMAZING multi-coloured poncho that I had on my wists.  WICKED.  it has a hood too! (Marvel at my pasty white skin in comparison to the bright colours!  This is what 8 months of winter looks like.)

and as extras, a neat little drawstring bag and some rad candles.  I loves me some candles.

Here's the crafted stuff i sent to J_Kieviet:

The rediculously large beach bag that I made out of thrifted and vintage fabrics.  I figured its always better for a bag to be too big than too small.  The appllique on the front is the pattern from the lining fabric.

Fleece throw/beach blanket with matching applique.

some matching scrunchies

hand painted baseball cap with traditinal swallow tattoo design. I loves paintin'.   Tongue
