1  Jumpsuit into a shirt and skirt! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by fancerfulbubbles on: January 07, 2009 02:42:11 PM
This jumpsuit belonged to my mother and she was more than happy to get it out of her closet, as she hadn't worn it in many many many years. It had so much fabric to it that I couldn't help but want to use it for everything and a half!

Self explanatory: Before

The skirt, very simple. Tube of fabric, hemmed.

The top: A sweetheart neckline halter top.

The faux dress: I just combined the top and skirt to create a dress to wear for my halloween costume last year. (Although I plan on wearing it to other places as well!)

This jumpsuit recon has been one of my favourites. It was all over very simple and although I've gotten the most wear out of the shirt, both pieces are versatile. I have a few more pieces I'm supposed to work on, but I am quite the procrastinator so we'll see when I get around to another recon.

2  Elfs in april? -2 pics- in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by fancerfulbubbles on: April 08, 2007 02:34:07 PM
Yeah so I decided to recon two turtlenecks to make a shirt. Something in my brain didn't click to say that red & green are christmas colours.
So I now have a cute shirt but everytime I wear it people start telling me their christmas wishes. Roll Eyes
But I wear it anyway.

I don't have a before pic but the turtlenecks looked JUST like this one only in different colours.

Became this.

Sorry they're links.

3  Age of Rockets anyone? -tshirt- in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by fancerfulbubbles on: April 02, 2007 06:04:50 PM
Good BAND.
Sorry that the photos are links.
Bear with me.  Embarrassed
Mmkay so I had a plain black t-shirt. so I decided to applique a shooting star on. I sewed on some beads as it's "trail". I then just wrote Age of Rockets with White acrylic paint on it.

& a closeup of the applique & beads.

I'm really hoping those links work.

4  -First Post- Reconstructed Shrug 3 pics in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by fancerfulbubbles on: March 21, 2007 05:01:52 PM
From an old dress that I wore as a kid into a velvet shrug.
I just detached (sp?) the bodice from the skirt and cut the front of the bodice up the middle & hemmed. Handsewn  Lips sealed which made it more of a pain than it had to be but still very easy.
I've put up pics & this is my first time so I'm hoping it will work.  Undecided

On me.

On hanger.

& some leftover fabric from the skirt of the dress.
Any idea what to do with it?
I'm kinda stumped. Apart from the obvious option of making a skirt.
