I took this one of the Griffith Park fire that happened earlier this year.  I was really inspired to go out at midnight (in my rubber ducky PJs) with my camera and take photos seeing as it's not something that you see often.  I couldn't really get too close to it seeing as the freeways and surrounding areas were all closed off, but this still shows how amazing it was to see.

I finally finished my first knit bag.  I bought some novelty yarn on sale and spent forever trying to decide what to make with it.  I ended up modifying a bag pattern I found online and this is what I came up with - handlined and everything!

I was worried that the button hole wouldn't be visible because of the type of yarn but it turns out that it's actually really easy to find.

I still have a couple of skeins left at home so I might just make another one for myself!
