Cute!  Is the first one a Simplicity pattern?  I have used that one and I really like it.

Beautiful!  I love buying ribbon from www.ribbonandbowsohmy.com.  They have pretty good prices and quick shipping.
34  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / REconditioning an old doll on: June 12, 2007 01:56:09 PM
I found a doll at my mom's that I had when I was little, so it is about 23 years old.  It is in sorry shape and I would like to make it new again.  I could make it a new body, but I don't know how I would attach the arms and legs again.  Instead of being attached with zip-ties, the body is sewn directly into the plastic.  It is hard plastic instead of soft vinyl.  Does anyone have any ideas of how I could attach it all together before I rip it apart?  Thanks!

Thank you!  That makes me feel better about not washing it. Cheesy  I can't wait to make it!

Hello all!  I have just found the purse-making love!  I bought a remnant of some poly brocade and am wondering if I should prewash it before I use it for a small handbag.  It is so pretty and unwrinkled that I am hesitating.  I wash everything else first for my other projects, but I am just not sure about pre-washing for a purse.  Thanks for any help!

Is it made with newborn diapers?  Or size 1?  That really is brilliant!

Thank you for the suggestion!  I was wondering how I wanted to set everything up.  What a great idea!
