1  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Tigers and lions and bears! oh my! and a cute flying monkey! on: November 05, 2011 10:42:31 PM
Here is the flying monkey costume.

I cut up a shirt from value village, and some felt to create the coat.
The hat is made with felt and a plastic container.
The monkey suit and wings were bought.

I don't expect to win, lol! But I wanted to share, thanks for looking!
2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Night at the movies!!! on: May 16, 2010 12:00:37 AM
So, I got my big bro a gift card for his birthday, but it didn't seem right just giving it to him in the cardboard gc holder they give you, so I made one out of the movie magazine they have at the movies. Super simple, but it made it look like I at least put some effort into it.
Here it is!

I put a little note for him in the back.

Thanks for looking!
3  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / You Are The Blood on: April 04, 2010 07:23:39 PM
I was sorta obsessing about the song "You Are The Blood" sung by Sufjan Stevens. I can't seem to get it out of my head. Sooo, I decided to do this!
I tried to make the tree look like Veins and the lyrics to the song are in the background.

Lyrics I used: You are the blood flowing through my fingers
all through the soil and up in those trees

You are electricity and you're light
You are sound itself and you are flight

The picture isn't the greatest but thanks for looking!

4  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Vimy Ridge France IMG Heavy on: December 18, 2007 10:55:44 PM
I took these pics in 2004 before the monument was restored. Vimy was one of the most moving places I have ever visited. I hope the pics give some of that.

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Pink Floyd Scarf!!! on: December 13, 2007 06:04:09 PM
So, I was knitting this plain old scarf for myself one day and my good buddy Tommy told me how much he needed one. I figured I'd give him the one I was knitting but make it special for him. So, I tried to do the whole pink floyd prism thing, it's a little rough, but recognizable!

Me, rocking the scarf!

I also added a pocket on the bottom so you could put something cool in it like a flask, cigarettes, chocolate ... name your poision!

Just sent it off to him, so I hope he likes it! If not, then too bad! lol!
6  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Snape book cover!!! on: April 07, 2007 04:28:45 PM
I've gotten all caught up in the Deathly Hallows craze so I decided I needed to make a book cover for when it comes out! I made the book cover out of a couple of old t-shirts and I used a stencil off of the leaky cauldron website.

It is a bit lumpy ... but it'll do!
7  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Girl with flower on: March 20, 2007 09:43:14 PM
I've been bitten by the stenciling bug! This is the third stencil I've done today! I made the stencils myself, but used an Alice in wonderland drawing as a template for the girl. The flower could be better, but I like it.

8  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / First stencil attempt! Freddie Mercury!!! on: March 20, 2007 02:38:46 PM
Hey! I am very excited!! This is my first attempt at stencilling! I hope you can tell it's Freddie Mercury ... It actually turned out better than I expected as I had some crappy scissors! Where's the exacto knife when you need it!?! Now all I gotta do is reconstruct the shirt to make it a little more my style!

9  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Journal with Grandfather's Pics on: March 18, 2007 02:03:24 PM
I was looking through my photo albums and came across this one of my Grandpa's, it has some amazing photos from when he was mining up north during WWII, as well as a couple from his childhood. I decided to copy some of them and put them onto the cover of an old journal I had. It isn't the best job ever, but I loved the pics so much and wanted to have them where I would see them more often.

10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Tube top to St. Paddy's day tank top! on: March 18, 2007 12:07:14 PM
I didn't have anything to wear for St. Paddy's day yesterday so I decided to change an old tube top into a tank top and add a four leaf clover. I used an old skirt for the green material. Nothing much, but I prefer it because I like tank tops better ... don't have to worry about them falling down!
Before I reconstructed it:
