573  COOKING / Dessert / first ever coconut cream pie!.! no bake with pics!.! on: March 23, 2008 12:47:52 AM
so I text my bfs sister today asking if she wants us to bring anything for easter(tomorrow!.!)...big mistake..."you can bring dessert"...was her reply at 11pm while I'm at work!.! I have an hour ride back home and had to make a quick stop at the grocery store (no way I am going on Easter to that mad house!.!) sure I could have just pick up something in a box already made and get to bed at a semi decent hour....but why would I do that?.? thats too easy...

pie!.! I can make some pies!.! everyone likes a pie!.!...coconut cream is my bf's favorite and Ive never made it before so I scribbled down this recipe
http://www.jfolse.com/recipes/desserts/pies28.htm
I wasn't supposed to use the computer at work so I had to do it quick!.!

I had a little fun with the cool whip (french vannilla t0o!) and coconut garnish...and then BIGETYBAM!.! this little cutie was born....

I can't wait to eat his little face...

forget about the effed up stiching, rock n roll is supposed to be out of control!.!.!.!
I like it alot (I'm not even a fan) but you did a really good job and you should be proud that there are people out there who don't even know how to thread a sewing machine or a needle for that matter....keep an eye out for a leopard kitty ear hoody I'm going to put up....I sewed one shoulder to the hood and had no choice but to cut the back...I horribly appliqued a star to the hole and I get a trash load of comments on it...you'll be the only one who can tell so relax!.!  Cheesy

...that I've been chatting online with babes all day."

I scored huge at the thrift store yesterday...besides this awesome Kip Dynamite shirt I found (hiding in the little boy section no less)...I dug out a Nine Inch Nails shirt, a Tool shirt and an Oscar the grouch shirt.....they all fit me perfect but I'm probably going to improve them eventually anyways and you guys will be the first to know!.!

side view with the hood up...

the zebra is 2 bandanas I got at walmart...the inside of the hood is lined with black tshirt fabric......I wanted the zebra inside the hood but I screwed up when I was sewing around the edge so instead of scrapping it I sewed it onto the shirt inside out so the seam up the back of it is on the outside.....but I absolutely love it!.!
578  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Lucha/Wrestling mask pattern? on: March 21, 2008 06:20:22 PM
I will find you a link...but I think the best way might to be a cheap one and cut it up...to make the one in my default I had to wing it....
my boyfriend has one but:
a) it is a collectors item so I can't destroy it
b)and it has no top to it so hair sticks out

but I was able to look at it and get the feel for it. the red parts are also glued on because I really can only sew straight seems lol so I cheated...the one in my pic is pretty much all it can be used for: posing for pictures...or else it will probably just fall apart...

579  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: The Pink Spiders!! [Now, with added pinstripes and extra-girly-goodness!] on: March 21, 2008 03:46:10 PM
AWESOME!.!
one thing I like about reconstructions is....no matter how many people bought the shirt, yours will be the only one like it and other broads are going to get jealous because they just can't be as awesome as you  Tongue

I am thrilled you could make sense of my diagrams because you know they were so detailed and realistic  Grin

actually I was thinking of a strap in the back of my boondocks shirt as well....the illusion of the sleeves staying up with no support rules!.!
580  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Stuffed Hobbes (from Calivin and Hobbes) *first post* on: March 20, 2008 09:06:18 PM
my friend had asked me to make this version of hobbes and Ive been putting it off for months...I'm going to make it out of fleece(which I finally bought today), so it will be different in that sense....so I promise I'm not copying you!.! yours is already better because yours is crocheted which I can't do, I know, I have tried...girl you have a talent!.! I'm blown away....your bf is a lucky guy  Smiley
