I just started mine tonight...I haven't finished getting all the supplies together...but I do have a dear friend that wants some advice on women, I will have to tell him I can't give him advice until after he takes me to the fabric store.... Grin

everyone has done such a great job, hundreds of pages worth, and I hope I succeed and maybe even amaze myself....the sick thing is I have important projects to do but since I stumbled onto this new obsession.......the y will have to wait

well it isn't necessarily complete, but it's as finished as it's going to get...I started it years ago and moved from connecticut to Philly to be with my bf so it's still (hopefully) in my room somewhere...
charcoal erase drawing is my absolute favorite way of doing portraits it gives so much life and depth....

this is my first entry, I'm a little nervous...everyones stuff is so good....so here goes nothin.......

I was in the dollar store and I found this beautiful red fairy....she was wonderful...but I could make her better...

I wish I could have taken a better picture of her original hair it was in tight curly pigtails....that had to stop...

her makeup is from a pack of acrylics I also purchased there..

when I took her hair out of the pigtails...it was mostly bald...I cut her side hair and super glued on some long pile fur which i cut short so it looked shaved...the super glue burned some of it thats why there are white patches....lol...I straightened her hair with an old school metal curling iron that was my moms when she was a teenager...

I popped off her wings and painted them black and glow in the dark, I glued black ribbon strands to the bottom and super glued them back on (also dollar store)

her Rancid logo skirt is a scrap from a pair of Dickies, just because she wanted to keep it real... her tank top is the original dress I just painted the front black

getting into my Yuengling at the bar...you can just barely see the tops of her "boots" which is just black paint...just like her little black undies

doll, paint, ribbon and glue are dollar store

Dickies skirt and buzzed hair are from my own stash...she begged me, I couldn't help it...

this may sound a bit odd...but I will explain...

I work in an adult video store....apparently there is a law where we have to sell a certain amount of regular movies so we have tons of VHS of pretty much anything you can think of....alot are still in oldsk0ol rental cases where you have to squeeze the sides and shake the tape out...I spend a lot of time digging through to find hidden treasures...I got this as well as the muppet movie and when I was a kid I didn't realize the amount of famous cameos throughout both!.!

theres so much depth and life in this painting I'm waiting for his feathers on his head to flutter!.! awesome awes0me awesome!.!
