92  glow in the dark mini wooden ouija box in Completed Projects by TrickyMcVomit on: November 30, 2007 08:30:16 PM
christmas is coming up fast and I'm trying to make things like crazy....I just finished something to be proud of....

I designed it myself in photoshop in black on white and printed it out to fit the top of the box...I glued it on and sealed it with mod podge then layered glow in the dark fabric paint on top of the "board" followed by more podge...I painted over everything in black and then even more podge!.!

I trimmed it in black...

and the biggest pain..making the planchette....it's a guitar pick!.! I made the hole with an exacto knife and put a small chain in the corner...I will probably make in into a bracelet or necklace..

the board glows very bright, I am surprised and very happy with the out come Grin

94  shirts for my bartenders Sixx and Bowie in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by TrickyMcVomit on: November 27, 2007 06:50:35 PM
we are regulars at a local irish pub...the bartenders are our good friends (twin brothers) and are in love with my artwork....I do all kinds of stuff but I mostly sketch and paint tshirts....so I made them these...I usually don't do celebrities but since I know they are actually wearing them and not selling them I let them have what they wanted...

David Bowie

and Nikki Sixx

Nikki is in more of a cartoon style...but Bowie was a little bit harder for me to do in that style without him looking ultra fem....Nikki also isn't as big...the David Bowie design was pretty large if I remember correctly  Smiley

95  Happy Birthday Jimi Hendrix charcoal in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by TrickyMcVomit on: November 27, 2007 06:23:38 PM
Jimi has been a big part of my house since I was a kid I remember in 3rd grade always trying to steal my brothers (I have 4) shirts to wear to school....my one Brother even has a full portrait tattoo on his arm....I realized today was his birthday and I wanted to post a myspace bulletin with a pic saying Happy Birthday and what not...and after looking for a pic and not feeling any of them I decided to break out the charcoal I haven't touched since I got it for christmas 2 years ago....

Music sweet music...I wish I could caress, caress....

96  baby bathing suit purse!.! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by TrickyMcVomit on: October 13, 2007 10:30:26 AM
my cousin got married in May, and I was going crazy trying to find something nice to wear to her wedding...I found a cute plain red dress with white polka dots...wonderful!.! but I needed a new purse, because mine is made out of a pant leg...so I come across this baby bathing suit that matched my dress almost exactly!.!

what I did was flip it inside out and sew it across right above the little leg holes. NOT directly on the skirt seam!.! it just gives you that much more room to work with...I cut off the leg holes after I sewed it shut, but I assume it makes no difference...

underskirt looks like this:

I suppose you could put velcro in the neck to keep it closed, I didn't put anything...

and the little arm holes slip right around your wrist...it's the perfect size to fit (not all at once) your digi cam, phone, wallet, cigarettes, house keys, ipod, I don't know what other little things you could fit in there...I'm sure you're all quite imaginative...

97  repaint recon in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by TrickyMcVomit on: September 26, 2007 03:41:48 PM
I got this great shirt from a friend of mine...I wanted to support his band, but I rarely wore the shirt because well kids, I just can't do yellow...

original logo

I paint shirts, although I have done a bunch of sewing recons which I will post here and there as I find or take pictures...so I have a plentiful supply of fabric paints...this tshirt was like the first pic, with yellow on black which, like I said, I just can't do...so...

I went over the yellow completely in red and now I wear it way more often, and I am the only one that has a red logo...because if anyone needs a red one it would definitely be me...

I was afraid the thin lines would be a problem, but it was so easy because it was already laid out for me...

98  Kerry King's sleeve into Slayer corset!!! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by TrickyMcVomit on: September 25, 2007 08:34:26 PM
last year I got to meet one of my heros, Slayer guitarist Kerry King...

the shirt I have on in the pic is also a recon, I cut the giant shirt to fit and used black fabric paint to neatly hem the bottom so it won't roll when I wash it...it kind of looks like it was burned, very cool..

so anyways...he was cutting off the long sleeves of a shirt saying what a shame it would be to waste them..."hook me up" I said, knowing I could find something to do with them...

well I gave one of my big brothers one of the sleeves...after that I was on a mission...

it too me a few tries to come up with this

fishnet back laced corset style...I didn't have much fabric to work with, and I had sewed it onto a different back and cut it up again losing an inch or so in the process....

well now it doesn't fit because my old job was next to a mcdonalds and a burger king...so it just sits in a drawer, but I am really proud with the outcome!.!

I hope you guys dig it!.!
