92  my very first poppet, welcome to my new addiction (pic hefty) in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by TrickyMcVomit on: April 12, 2008 12:16:18 PM
meet Bumblee my very first poppet

she has purple eyeliner but even with my digi you can't tell because
it's a POS....her eyelashes sparkle as well

I made these jeans from a pair of brand new jeans I didn't have for a week
and the zipper ripped off of them =0(
the star in front of her hair is just a cute little button I found...
I also got lucky and found shoes for a teddy bear in the Dollar Tree where I used to work so I didn't have to make them!.!

her hair was yarn I bought to make hair falls with but felt that it
was too thin so it just laid around......I might end up making her
hair thicker than this....
and I already bought her her own tiny hair clips =0)

this outfit is based off of the Blind Melon Bumbleebee Girl (pic below
of my tattoo of her on my leg) I wish you could see the tulle tutu I
made but my comforter is too dark, my sheets are her skin color...so I
couldn't win...
o0o and her watch actually works!.!

my tattoo of the blind melon bee girl I designed so she is sitting
exactly like Shannon Hoon when they were on the cover of Rolling
Stone...I have a little sunshine and a whinnie the pooh bumblebee but
you can't see that part....I plan on giving her a matching bumblebee
tattoo =0D

and when I was finished making her she took her first trip to the bar
and got into our pitcher of lager...."what are you guys going to

thanks ghilie, and thanks to everyone in this thread who have been so informative and helpful...

94  Lady Death charcoal in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by TrickyMcVomit on: April 02, 2008 05:19:28 PM

well it isn't necessarily complete, but it's as finished as it's going to get...I started it years ago and moved from connecticut to Philly to be with my bf so it's still (hopefully) in my room somewhere...
charcoal erase drawing is my absolute favorite way of doing portraits it gives so much life and depth....

95  Rancid red fairy (lots of pictures!!) in CHALLENGE 26 ENTRIES by TrickyMcVomit on: April 02, 2008 02:47:26 PM
this is my first entry, I'm a little nervous...everyones stuff is so good....so here goes nothin.......

I was in the dollar store and I found this beautiful red fairy....she was wonderful...but I could make her better...

I wish I could have taken a better picture of her original hair it was in tight curly pigtails....that had to stop...

her makeup is from a pack of acrylics I also purchased there..

when I took her hair out of the pigtails...it was mostly bald...I cut her side hair and super glued on some long pile fur which i cut short so it looked shaved...the super glue burned some of it thats why there are white patches....lol...I straightened her hair with an old school metal curling iron that was my moms when she was a teenager...

I popped off her wings and painted them black and glow in the dark, I glued black ribbon strands to the bottom and super glued them back on (also dollar store)

her Rancid logo skirt is a scrap from a pair of Dickies, just because she wanted to keep it real... her tank top is the original dress I just painted the front black

getting into my Yuengling at the bar...you can just barely see the tops of her "boots" which is just black paint...just like her little black undies

doll, paint, ribbon and glue are dollar store

Dickies skirt and buzzed hair are from my own stash...she begged me, I couldn't help it...

97  first ever coconut cream pie!.! no bake with pics!.! in Dessert by TrickyMcVomit on: March 23, 2008 12:47:52 AM
so I text my bfs sister today asking if she wants us to bring anything for easter(tomorrow!.!)...big mistake..."you can bring dessert"...was her reply at 11pm while I'm at work!.! I have an hour ride back home and had to make a quick stop at the grocery store (no way I am going on Easter to that mad house!.!) sure I could have just pick up something in a box already made and get to bed at a semi decent hour....but why would I do that?.? thats too easy...

pie!.! I can make some pies!.! everyone likes a pie!.!...coconut cream is my bf's favorite and Ive never made it before so I scribbled down this recipe
I wasn't supposed to use the computer at work so I had to do it quick!.!

I had a little fun with the cool whip (french vannilla t0o!) and coconut garnish...and then BIGETYBAM!.! this little cutie was born....
I can't wait to eat his little face...

98  "don't be jealous... in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by TrickyMcVomit on: March 21, 2008 11:02:45 PM
...that I've been chatting online with babes all day."

I scored huge at the thrift store yesterday...besides this awesome Kip Dynamite shirt I found (hiding in the little boy section no less)...I dug out a Nine Inch Nails shirt, a Tool shirt and an Oscar the grouch shirt.....they all fit me perfect but I'm probably going to improve them eventually anyways and you guys will be the first to know!.!

side view with the hood up...

the zebra is 2 bandanas I got at walmart...the inside of the hood is lined with black tshirt fabric......I wanted the zebra inside the hood but I screwed up when I was sewing around the edge so instead of scrapping it I sewed it onto the shirt inside out so the seam up the back of it is on the outside.....but I absolutely love it!.!

100  Re: Boondock Saints in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by TrickyMcVomit on: March 11, 2008 11:27:12 PM
I absolutely didn't mean to post yet, I wasn't completely finished writing and adding pictures instead of preview I hit post D'oh!.!

as for the sleeves, I pretty much figured it out while splicing 2 tshirts together so it's kind of hard for me to explain....so I made a graph.. Cheesy

the gray material was a hanes mens medium I brought it home from the store and found a hole in it so i threw it in my scrap pile...I guess you could make up your own pattern if you have other fabric in mind besides another existing shirt.....I made a tube shirt and attached the sleeves like this

haha I know it looks silly but let me describe what you're looking at....

the view is as if you were looking down into the black shirt tube the green is the side seam and the gray is the sleeve tube...the front is clearly labeled as such  Tongue
sew the armpit to the top of the tube...I did a longer seam in the front (about 5" from the side seam) than the back (about 3")

I tried to explain it the best I can...I usually to everything by eye with little to no planning and rarely use actual measurements

and please excuse my terrible face in the picture...it was hard to get my boyfriend to behave and take a picture of exactly what I asked him to
