1  Barbed Wire Baseball Bat Earring Cactus Jack (or Negan) Inspired in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by TrickyMcVomit on: March 08, 2017 02:29:55 PM
I feel like I haven't posted in ages, but yesterday, I whittled a tiny baseball bat and I had to share!! Look at how cute it is!!! It's just under 3 inches =0)

I am making a casual Cactus Jack outfit. He used to wield a barbed wire baseball bat, long before Negan of Walking Dead fame...but it was this miniature Lucille tutorial that helped me along: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eudPG680SM4 I didn't follow it 100% but I still love how it came out.

I also only made one, because I was afraid they might not match if I did two....I should have done a little at a time on one and then a little on another to keep them even to make a pair, but I didn't...it works out fine though because fun fact: Mick Foley (Cactus Jack) only has one ear.

2  Re: Weekend Trick or Treat Swap 2016 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by TrickyMcVomit on: September 29, 2016 12:06:56 PM

It just occurred to me that I didn't get a pic of the bucket....but I did take a pic of everything neatly Tetrised inside it.

And here are all of the things from Alexampersandra!!! She made me a sweet little candy corn print bag for microwaving.....I actually have a teddy bear that can fit into, I am so excited.

I also ate half of that giant bag of candy corns. I regret nothing.

Thank you so much, Alexampersandra/...I love everything!!!  Grin
OH! and I love this gallery so far!! Happy Halloween everybody!!

3  Re: Everyday is Halloween Gallery SO May 20th in The Swap Gallery by TrickyMcVomit on: May 24, 2016 12:48:25 PM
I have been under the weather the last few days, and today I called out from work to get some rest. My PO is next to work, so I told my bf that I was worried that I wasn't going to be able to pick up my package. I came downstairs to find it on my computer chair. What a sweet guy <3

So here it is, it all it's Halloweenie glory:

Don't mind my dirty old windowsill, I had to put it up on my side table immediately. I couldn't stop laughing about it. I love it so much. (The blue and green rings were just extras, I put on Rosemary to display for the photo)

Thank you kittykill for organizing and for sending me such a wonderful package!! Happy Halloween everybody!!

4  Re: Every Day is Halloween Swap: Sign ups 4/11-4/18/16. SO May 20 in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by TrickyMcVomit on: May 04, 2016 12:41:57 PM
I'd choose Frankenstein's monster from Monster Squad.

but NOT the one from universal. I met him once and I accidentally looked into his human eyes. I didn't like it.

5  Re: Christmas Stocking Swap! in The Swap Gallery by TrickyMcVomit on: December 25, 2015 12:42:43 PM
My partner hasn't posted photos yet. Unfortunately, I only have a pic of the stocking and not what was inside of it.

The fins are a "fabric" that I made out of layers of tulle and faric paint and hand painted. The scales are individually drawn on and then piped of with iridescent glitter fabric paint.

I have been super busy at work and at life but I have been thoroughly enjoying my stocking things from anubisheart and I finally have a minute to post pics...hold on to your Santa hats, it's pret-ty awesome.

The stocking is based off of Buddy the elf from "Elf"!!! There are so many fantastic things inside =0)

She made hand blown glass ornaments. Seriously. And super cute minnie bow hair clip...

Another Elf craft, a stenciled quote shirt...

Pajama pants. Hand made flannel pajama pants which I have worn every night since receiving and I am totally wearing them right now (also pictured, my elf shoes that I made)
...and all of this wonderful stuff and mostly candy wrappers because I ate most of it. Utah honey, flowering teas, a key ornament, socks, a cookie cutter, soap, a skull shaped teaspoon (OMG!!) and so much candy including alcohol infused chocolates.

Thank you so so much anubisheart. I love everything dearly <3
I had so much fun with this swap and everybody made such wonderful things. Merry Christmas to all!!

7  Buddy the Elf (girl) Christmas Costume in Costumes: Completed Projects by TrickyMcVomit on: November 17, 2015 05:48:03 PM
I made this Buddy inspired costume last year to wear for Christmas

I added the plush fur to the dress. I made the hat, the curly toed shoes and the Etch A Sketch purse (close up here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=441651.0 ) I even made a snow globe of my favorite bar as a gift to them (where I am pictured above) AND I smelled like maple syrup!!! =0)

I travel from PA to CT for Christmas eve in costume every year. Last year, it was rainy and cruddy and I almost didn't do it...but I thought that would be when people need the smiles most. While waiting for my coffee at a Rest Stop, I was approached by two tiny little girls in Elf on the Shelf jammies that wanted to know if I worked for Santa. My heart almost exploded.

I had so much fun in this costume, I'm probably going to fix it up and wear it again this year (the shoes and hat didn't make it). People get so caught up in the chaos of the holidays that they forget to smile and more importantly to make other people smile =0)

Bonus photo of me meeting my first niece for the first time (I wasn't ready!)

8  Buddy the Elf Etch A Sketch Purse From "Elf" in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by TrickyMcVomit on: November 17, 2015 05:28:12 PM
I made this felt and vinyl Etch a Sketch purse to go with my Buddy the Elf costume from the movie "Elf" that I wore for Christmas last year. It reads: "I'm sorry I ruined your lives and crammed 11 cookies into the VCR. I don't belong here. I don't belong anywhere. I'll never forget you. Love, Buddy"

9  Re: Christmas Stocking Swap Round 11 (Signup thru Oct. 20; send out Dec. 4) in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by TrickyMcVomit on: November 09, 2015 10:11:11 AM
I have a small Christmas section on top pf our DVD shelf that stays up all year including a Charlie Brown tree =0)

~The Trailer Park Boys Christmas Special box (mostly hidden) and "Letters to Santa" which we got when we saw them live. And a printed card my bf gave me.
~A real life bar of Life Buoy soap (Christmas Story)
~A Trans Siberian Orchestra VIP pass from 2004.
~There are a few other Christmas cards from friends over the years that didn't make the photo

We spend Christmas traveling so we don't bother put up a tree. My Mom puts up a fake one that is decorated with ornaments from when we were kids....including a terribly embarrassing photo one from second grade when I didn't know it was picture day and then the teacher made us make ornaments from our school photo for our parents...My Mom insists on putting it up and my job is to find it and hide it as far into the tree as possible so nobody sees it.

My boyfriend and I do Christmas in two states. We live in Philadelphia and my Mom and  four brothers are in CT. We spend Christmas Eve drinking beers with my family and then Mom hosts a breakfast buffet at her house where everyone is invited friends, family and friends who have become family. We eat and get hilarious. My brothers bring a grab bag of random stuff from a crappy dollar store so every one that shows up gets something to unwrap even if it's sponges or rat traps. My tradition is that I bring stick on mustaches for every one.

This is me and my buddy a few years ago (I'm dressed as a snowman. Christmas costumes are my other tradition)

Every one splits after breakfast to do their own thing. We get back on the road for a 3-4 hour trip back to NJ to have dinner with my boyfriends family. We usually spend holidays with my family because I never see them otherwise, but I am glad that very early on we found a way to spend the day with both families....and believe it or not, I love traveling on Christmas. Every one is already where they need to be, so there is no traffic.

I also make a 6 hour long mp3 disk of GOOD Christmas music for the ride both ways. I know it sounds impossible, but after 10 years of collecting, I can do it and i'm good at it and I love it =0)
