11  Re: I <3 to Sew Round 3 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by eye_on_sparrow on: March 24, 2010 09:11:04 AM
My partner received but I guess she hasn't had time to post pictures yet.  I'm dying to show what I made for her so I hope she doesn't mind me showing some pictures.

I only took pictures of the things I made so fusbdgt can show the pictures of the other stuff if she wants to.  I hope you like what I sent and it is something you can use for your classes.  I hope to see some action shots with you new stuff.

I meant to show the page that feywalker's daughter made for me.  I think she did a fabulous job on it.

Lookie what I got!!!!   Feywalker made me a crocheted hanging basket to help me get more organized in my kitchen.
Isn't it pretty and I got another little blue crocheted basket.  There is something about baskets as soon as the come into my house they are imediatelly filled with stuff.

Then the purchased goodies.  Not a good picture but up in the top is an owl shaped chocolate that may be to adorable to eat.  But it is chocolate so I must eat it.  A couple of dishclothes I love these kind because they have a scrubbie fabric on the back.  I also got some hooks and a magnetic grocery list and a few extra page protectors for my scrapbook.

The scrapbook is so adorable with pink and brown and owls.  And there are some really good recipes in there.  My daughter has already picked out the black bean and spinach pizza and the chicken and spinach pizza.  Feywalkers 3 yr old daughter decorated the page with the bannana bread on it.  Don't worry Kassi although I don't like raw bannanas I do love bannana bread and cake.  I like the taste of bannanas but I just don't like the texture of raw bannanas.  Is that wierd or what.

The cook book she sent is perfect because I am trying to eat healthier and the doctor says I have hypertention so heart healthy is good for me.

what a fun swap and I am looking forward to seeing what everyone else got.

Lookie what I got!!!  I received my fabulous package today from KLKing it was on my doorstep when I got home from work.  This is what I saw when I opened up the box.  Everything was wrapped uo so pretty and she even decorated the outside of the box.
Look at this lovely Banner.  Isn't this the most beautiful thing.  I put it up on my door right away.  I may take it down tomorrow and take it to work to show my co-worker.  I want everyone to see this.

And then she sent me a wonderful windsock.  Karen let me pick this out myself.  Isn't this pretty.

She crafted the prettiest ornaments out of window blinds.  And this lovely handcrafted card and envelope.  And all these wonderful wooden spools of thread.  She made this extra special by including a note about the people who owned these spools,  I love collecting old sewing stuff and wooden spools are one of my favorites.

Next up are the delicious cookies her mom whipped up for me.  There are three different kinds and I tried one of each imediately upon opening.  All are as tasty as can be.  And how cool is this I got a basket of tangerines right off the tree in her yard.  I love how nicely she put together the gift basket for me.  I didn't want to take it apart yet but it looks like there are some cute cookie cutters in ther too.  Cookie cutters are another thing I like to collect.
This is a fabulous package I love everything KLKing was a great partner and organizer.  Thanks so much.

I am sending my package to KLKIng first thing in the morning.  I just wanted to post a teaser for her.  I don't think this will reveal to much.

I'm so glad you like everything polkadotts.  I was worried about the pouches fitting the boys games as I had no way of trying them for fit.  But I figured if they are anything like my boys they probably wouldn't use them anyways.  Maybe they can use them for something.  I finally got broadband so now I can uplaod pictures fast so I will post what I have if you don't mind.  I didn't take pictures of everything though.

There are a few other things I crafted but didn't get pictures of and some things I purchased for polkadotts but I did not take pictures of the purchased stuff either.  I did find a little angel figure that looks just like her avatar I was tickled to find that.  I hope you like it.

I love that fabric picture you posted for your title page KLKing.  This is a fabric panel I made up for my partner in the Christmas stocking swap.  She has a todler grandaughter and I thought it would be nice for her to play with.  But I was so pleased with how the picture turned out I wanted to post it.  I may try posting as a header on my blog for Christmas.

I received my stocking package from polkadotts yesterday. She sent me all kinds of lovelies. First up not one not two but fifteen vintage patterns.  I love looking at them and there are several I think I may be able to sew up with just a little adjustments.  I think I actually have some of these that I got when I was a teen or in my 20s. Wow does that mean I am vintage yikes.

I got some candy and coffee.  A piece of Christmas fabric.  A lovely smelling herbal heating pad and I love the fabric she choose for this too. And under it all is a Texas bandanna.  I like that she sent me something to represent her home State.

And the stocking is a cowboy boot.  Polkadotts went with a cowboy theme because I told her I wanted a man for Christmas. There are 12 giant paperclip bookmarks with jewels on them. And two cowboy Santa ornaments.  I can't wait to try the redbeans and rice she made me a kit for. IT has all the ingredients and a recipe and a big tin of Zaterains Cajun seasoning. And the most adorable cookbook. Deep South Staples or how to survive in a southern kitchen without a can of cream of mushroom soup.  I love this it has the cutest vintage photos in it and some delish recipes, and some cute stories.   She also made me some woodburned utensils with my name on them.

A teaser for my partner polkadotts.  My cat wanted to come to polkadotts house with her stocking goodies.  Well I had a hard enough time getting her goodies stuffed into the box so my cat just wouldn't fit.  I sure hope polkadotts like what I sent her.

20  Re: DeStash-Along 2009 in Craftalongs by eye_on_sparrow on: September 21, 2009 08:53:01 AM
A little something made from my stash yarn.   A felted project bag  I made from yarn that has been in my stash for maybe 6 years or more.  I like the way it turned out and I think it will be very handy for small knitting projects  to take along while waiting for appointments and such.

I am getting ready to do some major destashing but not making projects just getting rid of some stuff.  My church youth group is hosting a free yard sale in a few weeks.  Everything is going to be free for the taking at this yard sale.  I am not going to be in town the day of the yard sale so there is no danger of my coming home with any more stash at least from the yard sale.  I am actually going to The Sewing Expo that day and I am sure I will come back with some new stash.  But it will be ok won't it especially if I get rid of some before I go.  Tell me I'm ok really I am.
