1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Baby package: bibs, toys, pillows, OH MY! on: April 15, 2011 08:30:21 AM
My little sister had a baby girl a few weeks ago. And being the only little girl in the immediate family at the moment, she is my inspiration  Grin Lucky her!

I printed the pattern for this little boy and girl toys but I can't remember where I got it. If anyone knows, please let me know. Also, if anyone knows of another pattern similar to this I'd love to know that too. These were loads of fun to make and so dang cute!

Bunny pillow! I got this from the DoodleStitching book. Love her books Smiley

Sewed some bibs. The kitty, duck and sheep were from the DoodleStitching Motifs book.

And my 3 sided bunny I got from Wee Wonderfuls. This one was a little tricky for me because I'm still very much a newbie at sewing. The 2 back sides are a cotton flannel polkadot material.

And most the package. The other pieces in this pic are burp cloths with no needlework on them. I also knitted up toys, bibs, pillows, and a blanket. I plan on doing some needlepoint on onesies and knitting and sewing some more.

Thanks for looking!
2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Home Sweetest Home on: September 14, 2010 04:34:02 PM
I'm very happy with the way it turned out... Considering it's my first major cross stitch project! I love the vintage cross stitch patterns. Now I'm looking for my next project. I really want to find a source for the old English letters that I can make my own pattern with. Example: I'm wanting to cross stitch my sister's last name in the pretty letters similar to the letters in this project. Anyone have any advice, please?

The gloves are Strata gloves that I just finished today. Here's my Ravelry page on it...

I got the Home pattern from 123patterns.com. I was thinking of just framing it. So now I need to build a frame. I'm just being lazy about it Wink

Thanks for looking!
3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Needlepoint gifts.... on: September 03, 2010 06:17:26 AM
I'm new to needlepoint. I have had supplies and the desire for years now, but no motivation. So I finally have alot of time and I've been sort of teaching myself and practicing. So, as I've been told, my work is "primitive". I called it amateurish....

This is one I made for my oldest sister. My husband had fun helping me design this. I actually ended up puting a potleaf at the bottom but I didn't get a pic of that. Wish I had....

This one was for my middle sister. She loved it! The flowers were freehanded from the Doodle Stitching book.

I made this knitting bag for a fellow knitting friend in L.A. I wanted to make her something for letting me visit and stay with her... The thread glows in the dark. She collects GITD things. She loved loved loved it! The whole bag was sewn with GITD sewing thread too....

There were some mistakes in the embroidery and cross-stitch. Or as we say in knitting, an unexpected design element Wink
