That's how my bf said it he said oh my god this is good, so thus the name! I took alot of pics to tell the story of this dish, so let's get on to the pics!
First I used these leftovers that my bf had made from the night before, and I know it had ground beef, and chili beans, and taco seasoning mix, but what else I don't know. When I asked him, he said it was a secret recipe of the cowboys(he used to compete in rodeos), so I couldn't get any other info from him. Ha ha....
I added the secret meat sauce with beans to the sausage or vice a versa and heated them together for a few minutes. That is the picture above. Below is the sausage (1 lb. Hot and Zesty Pork Sausage cooked, and drained. The sausage I added to the bean tex mixture.
I used the biggest pan I could find and heated up boiling water for the lasagna noodles. It's important to use a big pan to allow the noodles to not stick together; in the past I used a smaller kettle and there wasn't enough room for the noodles to cook and not stick and clump together.
I was ripping music and multi-tasking doing some crochet so I had time before the water boiled, but when it did, no more doing 3 things at once! Here it is boiling and I've added the noodles and they need to boil 10-12 mintues, the box says up to 14, but I stopped at ten.
Drain the noodles and I rinsed mine under cold water, just so I could pick them up and handle them without getting burned!
These were the ingredients I used to season and add to the lasagna in layers. Garlic powder and Oregano to season, and Mozzarella and Fiesta Cheese and I used Parmesan Cheese as well. And Small Curd Cottage Cheese. First I layered with Salsa, noodles, meat, cottage cheese, and cheese. I seasoned that layer with garlic powder and the Oregano. Then I layered again, but with only noodles and cheese(Next time it will be with spinach)and then I noodled, meat, cheeses on top, and stuck it in the oven for 30 minutes just till the cheese browned up nice and it was all bubbly. Pan fried some Texas Toast on the side and the bf had two big helpings! Enjoy!
