1  Jewelry Box in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by loruhhh on: January 10, 2011 09:51:45 PM
I hope this is the right place to post this...

I found this old Lisa Frank box in my basement, filled with little craft supplies (felt, buttons, yarn) and I decided to redo it a little so I could use it as a jewelry box.

Before:

After:

I did about 10 coats of paint because you could see the original pictures through it. You can sort of see it on the drawers still, but I don't really care. Then I modge podged it so the paint wouldn't chip, and added wrapping paper liners in the drawers because I thought it was cute. Smiley

Thanks for looking!

2  Finally posting my Christmas presents! in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by loruhhh on: January 24, 2010 05:31:29 PM

Two cats

Bunny

with a cotton tail ^_^

The one on the left is supposed to be a monster... It was for a boy so I didn't want to make a cute-sy cat or something. idk...

My favorite... mouse!

with a bow on its tail.

They were all packaged similar to this.

And that's it! I'm pretty happy with how they all came out and everyone liked them. Smiley

3  My first inchies in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by loruhhh on: August 30, 2009 12:37:51 PM
I was browsing Craftster one day and I came to some people's topics of inchies and I immediately knew I had to make some. They are so addictive and I even got my sister to make a bunch!
A few months ago, she and I thought it would be fun to order a bunch of catalogs so we could get mail and so they were just all over our living room because we had nothing to do with them after we got them, but we finally found some use for them.

So here they are... Some are slightly unfinished because I wanted to add some things to them but I was more excited to scan them first.

Thanks for looking!!

4  I want a hippopotamus for Christmas in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by loruhhh on: December 16, 2008 10:48:18 PM
The Jonas Brothers have a song about wanting a hippopotamus for Christmas and my sister really likes them, so...

I made her a hippo for Christmas!!! And I gave it a festive little scarf. Idk about you but I think its adorable, haha.

Does the face look ok? I was going to add nostrils or teeth to it, but I wasn't sure exactly where, so I just left them off. I think it looks ok though.

5  Green purse in Crochet: Completed Projects by loruhhh on: October 05, 2008 09:18:17 PM
This is my first time I followed an actual crochet pattern. It wasn't nearly as confusing as I thought it would be. I like how it turned out. Smiley

6  Granny Square Blanket in Crochet: Completed Projects by loruhhh on: August 08, 2008 07:27:54 PM
Wow, I never imagined how much work went into one of these things! There are 216 squares @_@ I started this in the beginning of summer, in hopes that I would finish before school started, and I made it with two weeks to spare!

Here it is all laid out...

While I was sewing it together, my cat peed on it, which was really gross, so I had to wash it in the middle of it and I was so nervous that I would ruin it, but it turned out okay, and this is the final piece!

On my bed. Smiley

and my brother holding it up, hehe

And here's a close up pic of some of the squares, since you can't see them that well in the other pictures

I was going to do another border around the whole thing but I thought it looked cool with just the colored border.

After a few months of working on it, I *finally* finished my blanket! It's my first crochet project and I'm pretty happy with it. Cheesy

And this is a sneak peak at my next one...
