1  I'm Old Gregg! in Halloween Costumes by fezzle on: November 05, 2010 12:36:36 PM
I might be a bit late for the post-Halloween bandwagon, but I've been super busy lately and haven't gotten a chance to put this up yet.

For Halloween this year, I made myself an Old Gregg costume out of things that I already had, found at Goodwill, and fake plants.

For the headpiece, I glued a bunch of fake leaves to a baseball hat and stuck a thing of fake ferns into it.

All of this is great, but I have to say that my favorite part of the costume, hands down is the mangina. I took a taplight, stuck it in my tights, and flashed people all night.

I got my towels the other day and they are AMAZING! MY partner camelama totally rocked this swap, and to think, she was worried about me not liking them! Here they are:

The towels are all gorgeous and the coloring is so cool! Thank you so much!

Thanks everyone! I got my apron from mlookyloo1 yesterday, and I guess we were on the same wavelength because she sent me cherries too! I love it! You can't see it in the picture, but there's a pocket with a little bit of red lace on it and the piping goes all along the bottom.

I was so inspired by the apron that I decided to make muffins! Yum!

This is going to sound weird, but.. I think I saw you at the Jewish Museum when you were taking those pictures! Is this you?

Oh, and I like numbers two and five the best. Good luck! Smiley

5  Jayne Hat and Harry Potter DArk Mark Illusion Scarf! in Knitting: Completed Projects by fezzle on: December 10, 2007 06:30:13 PM
So I did a LOT of knitting around Thanksgiving, and am just now getting around to posting pictures  of the stuff I made. The first thing I knitted (in the car on the way up!) was another Jayne hat; this is actually he fourth one I've knitted, but the first one I've put on craftster. It's kind of sad how I've memorized the pattern Grin

I also started knitting my Harry Potter Dark Mark Illusion Scarf before the break, but didn't get around to finishing it until later- it took FOREVER because it's so long. Even when I wrap it around my neck, both ends reach past my knees! Maybe that's normal? I don't really know, as I live in Texas...

Here it is as modeled by my oh-so-lovely floor, the pen is for scale.

And here's the illusion part. I am now known at school as "that girl with the skull scarf"  Wink

I'm so sorry that it took me so long to post pictures of all the goodies that tiffie sent me! Here they are:

A zippered case with bracelets!

Two by two, hands of blue boxes with quote magnets inside!

Inara-inspired jewelry! The posters are really cool too. I gave one to my boyfriend and he thought that it was the coolest thing ever.

It's probably a little hard to read due to my craptastical picture skills, but it says "Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!"

I love that quote :3

Super-growing dinos and easy chopsticks!

An awesome-looking tote bag!

And last, but not least, A Jayne Cobb tshirt! <3
Thanks again tiffie!

I did this in eighth grade art and them promptly lost it. But lo and behold, I just found it and really liked it.

EDIT: Ok, here are the pictures of the super cool stuff that I got!

Everything together!

A closeup of the detailing on Haruhi.

GirlBrett- I am SO SORRY that it took me so long to post up my pictures! I lost my camera, but after much searching, have finally found it and am ready to put up pictures of all the awesome stuff I received.

Yummy, Pizza Pringles!

All of the bigger stuff that GirlBrett sent to me. There's a soap cozy, two bags, made of awesome Nintendo fabric, a dice bag, and some dyed wool for spinning! I don't know if you planned this or not, but the wool smells REALLY good.

The more detailed stuff. There's a Batman pin (Shrinkydink?), Sailor Moon cell phone charm, bookmark, with teacup pendant, and two of those beady-melty things (sorry, I have no idea what they're called -_-).

Thanks so much, GirlBrett!
