1  Window Ornament from Slides in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by PinkWinterGirl on: November 02, 2006 01:05:46 PM
Ok, so the view from my apartment is a bunch of brick buildings. To add to that, my window is pretty darn small. So, to brighten things up a bit, I decided to try to get a stained glass effect from some old slides I had photographed from a class last semester. Simple, but definately added some color to my view:

And a close-up that shows how the light shines through a little better:

2  Re: Verb Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by PinkWinterGirl on: September 29, 2006 01:20:40 PM
My lovely package from MoonLightBliss33 for my verb, "to effervesce," was fabulously fun.

It had hand-painted, bubble-themed drawstring bags:

One had beads in it:

Some soaps and a colorful cuff:

Bubble bath mix:

And soda-themed earrings and keychain:

Thanks, MoonLightBliss33!

Gothmom sent me some pretty awesome stuff in my package:

A zombie...

...with homespun yarn-brains....

...and a word balloon designed by her son.

Also, this beautiful cloth flower broach....

...and my favorite, KEVIN SMITH EARINGS!!

Thanks, gothmom! You made my first swap great!

4  When pianos try to be guitars in Stenciling: Completed Projects by PinkWinterGirl on: August 02, 2006 07:14:20 PM
As a long-time lurker, I thought I'd share one of my old stencils. I had seen a shirt at a Jamie Cullum concert with butterflies blossoming from a grand piano and fell in love. Unfortunately, I didn't have the cash to buy it at the time. Later, when I did, I couldn't find it anywhere. So, being the pseudo-crafty person I am, I decided to make my own!

A couple of pieces of clip art, some photoshop, and a paintbrush later, and I got the picture below! It's a well-worn shirt now, but I kind of like the way it faded:

I went a little more cutsie than the orginal, but that's just my love for all things pink and bubbly.

5  Bohemian-esque jump ring necklace in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by PinkWinterGirl on: January 29, 2005 09:43:03 PM
Ok, this was my first try at hardcore jewelry-making. Usually I stick to hemp and embroidery floss, the stuff you learn at summer camp.

Anyways, I bought myself some pliers and some jumprings and this is what I came up with:

Definately a great first project, gets you used to the tools and can be done in about three hours.
