1  New Look 6943 skirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by nirauan on: March 13, 2010 08:30:43 AM
this is the first project finished today, super easy pattern, (really you dont need a pattern for this sort of skirt its only different sized rectangles) very cute fabric which i bought recently from a fabric shop which is closing down, the first pic is over exposed so i have also included a close up snap of the fabric.

2  scrappy camo shorts in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by nirauan on: March 13, 2010 08:22:22 AM
Yay today I finished two projects, this was the second one, but I've been avoiding finished them because i didnt want to put the zipper in (dont know what i was worried about, it was reasonable easy, I'm not going to win any prizes for neatness but its functional) as usual (in my experience) burda magazine pattern instructions were severely lacking, so I gave up using them about halfway throughand just made it up. Fabric is a tiny little camo print remnant ive had for about ten years (yay for destashing!) because there was so little fabric I used black cotton for the pocket lining and waistband. My favorite thing about these shorts is the button.

3  Mens Shirt to My Dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by nirauan on: February 14, 2010 11:34:21 AM
Yep, another mens shirt recon, I saw this originally on cutoutandkeep? i think, basically a halter neck top made from the sleeves and the bottom of the shirt as the rest of the dress. The best part of this is that it was totally free! as I got the shirt from work (it was going in the skip before i rescued it) I think i will make another one with a couple of alterations, I learned a lot from making this one.

on to the pics, apologies for the poor quality pics and the dirty state of my mirror! (yuk!) also i dont look this fat in person (i hope!)

4  Burdastyle Amy Hoodie in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by nirauan on: January 09, 2010 06:30:41 AM
my first completed project of the year, made with the fabric from two and a big giant mens sweatshirts (this hoodie takes a lot of fabric) because im a geek i stencilled the imperial logo from star wars on the top of the sleeves. I really liked this pattern and will probably make it again in a lighter weight fabric (this weighs an absolute ton!) and i would probably go down a size as well.

5  Simplicity 4589 in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by nirauan on: March 29, 2009 02:34:56 AM

Hi

This is made from Simplicity 4589 View C, I made this last year but have only just got round to posting. I love this pattern and intend to make a couple of the other views this year. The fabric was an old pillowcase of my grandma's so this was a very cheap project.

6  Burda Shirt Dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by nirauan on: March 29, 2009 02:23:46 AM
Hi

This is made from pattern 105 from Burda Magazine issue 2/2009. Pretty happy with the way this turned out considering i didnt do a practice run first. I messed up on the collar a bit so i sewed on a couple of extra button to hide the ugly joins. No action shots as its too small for me (its a holiday dress and making holiday clothes too small keeps me motivated on my diet!) Total cost of dress 6 and I still have some fabic left over which I think will be made into a pair of shorts once i find a pattern

Thanks for looking Smiley

8  Hey Spock! in Knitting: Completed Projects by nirauan on: January 26, 2009 12:43:42 PM
My version of knittys Hey teach. Completed in less than a month (go me!) whilst watching a box set of star trek TOS, using stylecraft speacial aran, of which i have loads left, so in yarn terms this probably only cost me about 4. I found it generally easy going and i learnt how to pick up stitches. If i could do it over i would make it a bit longer. Picture is sans buttons as i have been too lazt to sew them on.

10  Mr Spock in Stenciling: Completed Projects by nirauan on: January 07, 2008 02:13:07 PM
I made this a while back for the star trek swap i organised. He was made with freezer paper and a mix of fabric and acrylic paints. I think there was probably about 15-20 layers in all. I was really sad to see him go, but he has gone to a very good home. Unfortunately this is the only picture i can get uploaded onto craftster as my digicam will not connect up to the computer (this pic on on my other halfs camera phone)
